We had a great meal really enjoyed it staff friendly, only thing I didn't like was 5 dogs all barking while people are trying to have a meal should ban DOGS

The food was great but such a shame that people were clearly doing drugs in the toilets which was completely ignored by staff. Everyone can see it happening yet the staff or Robinsons do nothing about it. We won't be visiting again

Excellent service Food good

We have used the rising moon Matley lane a few times. Our last visit was to remember happy memories of our dad 27:05:2026 Well I must say the four of us really enjoyed our food I had sea bass it was delicious and cooked to perfection. My brother had fish chips mushy peas and bread he really enjoyed his the fish was battered to perfection. One of my sisters had lamb shank and it was delicious. And my other sister had steak pie and really enjoyed that. The service was very quick and the staff were lovely making sure they matched our needs. The atmosphere was very friendly and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this place

Great pub! The food was lovely, very generous portions. There were six of us and we all chose different meals and we had no complaints at all! The staff were friendly and efficient. Would recommend.

Excellent as always. Delicious food and fabulous service. Especially enjoy seeing local produce being used. Thank you. Have been here a couple of times recently. It’s a lovely place to visit, great views while you eat. The food is delicious and portions are generous. I had the fisherman’s platter with two types of smoked salmon, mackerel pate, prawns and very tasty fresh bread and butter. My friend had the Lymefield platter - a cheese and meat lover’s delight! The staff are very friendly and helpful as well. Definitely would recommend a visit, but avoid the temptations in the shop! I guarantee you won’t come out without buying anything!

The food was really good and the service was excellent. The girls and boys that were serving the food and serving behind the bar were working really hard as the place was packed, but that did not stop them from being friendly and helpful.

Always enjoy visiting and eating here. The meals are always excellent, and good portions, service is great and the pub has a lovely atmosphere with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. I recommend this restaurant and have been visiting for many years. The current owner has kept up the standard and runs everything very well. When eating in the evening, it is best to eat or book an early time , which suits us, most people drive here (excellent, large carpark) so the pub tends to wind down early. But during the day, and when the weather is sunny, there are excellent facilities outside, with a play area for children, so family friendly. We are older, so the pub/restaurant caters for all ages.

Attended for lunch with 4 work colleagues. We ate from the Light bites menu and we were delighted with the options, food quality and portion sizes. (We are older ladies so appreciated smaller portions. We liked the atmosphere, the staff were fine and, as I say, the food was great. My friends particularly liked the rag pudding - I had the fish and it was lovely, as was the apple crumble and custard. Wouldn't hesitate to come again and would like to come on a sunny day as the outside seating area looked nice.

We booked a table for 7:30pm on the Sunday before bank holiday. We both had Sunday lunch which was great with extra cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets which weren’t on the menu but should be as they’re really good. However around 8:30pm the place was empty aside from us and we were advised that it was last orders. At this point as the staff were cleaning up around us we felt a little uncomfortable so drank up and ordered a taxi. The minute we left the doors were locked and the lights turned off. Had we known we would only have an hour to eat and relax we would have gone elsewhere. 75 quid later we left. In summary great food but disappointing experience.

As a group of four old workmates, we find the Lite Bites menu good value for money. The food is lovely, excellent service, and we are never rushed. Good atmosphere . I personally rarely leave the house with having caring responsibilities: our monthly visit to The Rising Moon is a real treat!

Excellent as always! Great service, great food, lovely atmosphere! Produce is top quality and cooked to perfection. Waiting staff are very attentive. Cannot recommend it enough!
