The Gatehouse Ale & Aloo – WorsleyThe small plates were amazing, great take on Indian food.
The Gatehouse Ale & Aloo – WorsleyAuthentic flavourful Indian cuisine within a traditional pub setting. Friendly ambience and staff. A really enjoyable meal and evening.
The Gatehouse Ale & Aloo – WorsleyThis was our first visit to the Gatehouse after hearing a good review, Quirky decor and a good mixture of customers regular ones and new. There were couples and families. work mates, friends and a first date too. We bought our drinks and once seated perused the exciting, unusual menu . We opted for papadums, bhaji's a samosa chat a Khari and a yummy Sag aloo. it was all very nice( only the bhajis were a bit dry ) its best not to lie and be true. Yummy sticky toffee pud with cardamon sauce. 3 pints of IPA and a visit to the Loo. Food drink and service was fine, we had a great time. We'll soon be back to see you. Thanks.
The Gatehouse Ale & Aloo – WorsleyThe food was amazing matched by great service. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back, we highly recommend.
The Gatehouse Ale & Aloo – WorsleyGreat food! Lots of choice including a Nanza an Indian take on a Pizza. Amazing! It's dog friendly too! It's our second visit and won't be our last!

The Gatehouse Ale & Aloo – WorsleyTook my dad to show how good you are here as I’ve been a few times with my family and they love it, always great food just wish I could fit more starters in as every one I’ve tried has been superb
The Gatehouse Ale & Aloo – WorsleyLovely food and friendly service. Portions are a really good size. Butter chicken was delicious, as was the naanza and tikka burger. Really good children's food too. The keema loaded chips are a must! Will be back x
The Gatehouse Ale & Aloo – WorsleyBeen here a couple of times to eat in during the week as well as weekends. Fantastic food. Can't fault it. Portion sizes are great.
The Gatehouse Ale & Aloo – Worsley1st time here! And won’t be the last … enjoyed that you could have the small plates and have a taste of each one! The tandoori chips are gorgeous
The Gatehouse Ale & Aloo – WorsleyThis was our first time visiting and whilst the food was incredible the service wasn't quite as good as we had hoped. Three of the beers were out of stock and we had hoped to try the Ale and Aloo beer, when I asked the waitress for advice on the menu she was unable to help. When paying at the end we didn't get offered a receipt to check. We didn't get an overly friendly impression from the staff which other people commented on so think we may have been unlucky. The food was worth going back for though!
The Gatehouse Ale & Aloo – WorsleyGreat Sunday lunch here last week. First time visit and food was delicious and tasty. Amazing marsala roasted vegetables and makhani cauliflower cheese is a must! Definitely will be visiting again to try the curries and small plates. Staff friendly and welcoming. Good value for money and great to see a pub adapt and find a niche - Ale and Aloo.
The Gatehouse Ale & Aloo – WorsleyI took my Indian parents (potentially the harshest critics) here for a meal when they travelled a few hours to come and visit me… and it didn’t disappoint! I’ve struggled finding Indian food which isn’t too westernised and still has the authentic tastes - exactly what was delivered here! The small plates are a great way of sharing food (which is very common in Indian culture). The food was exceptional, lovely relaxed environment and I’m most definitely coming back! Big congratulations to the team behind this - it really was exceptional and the food blew me away.
The Gatehouse Ale & Aloo – Worsley5 star!
The Gatehouse Ale & Aloo – WorsleyVisited for Valentine’s Day with my girlfriend which was our 3rd visit to this venue. She has a gluten and dairy intolerance and the staff couldn’t have done more to accommodate her requirements. The food was amazing and hands down the best Indian food either of us have ever eaten. The service was first class as well. Honestly could not recommend this place enough. It’s been consistently brilliant each time we’ve visited and easily our favourite place to eat in the local area.
The Gatehouse Ale & Aloo – WorsleyLovely food and nice atmosphere. Okay prices and lovely small plates. Nice mix between pub and restaurant so has different vibes for different people. Manager was lovely and friendly and had a laugh with us. Would definitely be back!
