The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeSunday lunch for 9 of us was excellent - very good service and delicious food and beer - thank you!
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeHad a meal for four, staff were friendly, helpful, good service. There was an issue with the menu, it read bottomless gravy boat ? the meals arrived with gravy on ( to much for a couple of us ) gravy n the side would be better. And mayb a slightly larger portion for the price.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe love going to Beetham, when we can, to see a quaint village that dates back many centuries. The focus in Beetham is The Wheatsheaf Hotel and pub. The food is nicely presented and high quality. We have been a number of times before and always enjoyed it.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeExcellant all round
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeA hotel full of character set in a lovely village just far enough away from the main road. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The menu was quite extensive and varied. It was well prepared and presented. Louise was very efficient and not over pushy. Overall a very nice experience in a lovely hotel.

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeAmazing food, atmosphere and good value
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeAfter having walked the Fairy Steps, we sat down at The Wheatsheaf for some drinks. It is a nice place with good service. The evening we came back again for dinner. My wife ordered Salmon and I had Beef with stout which was really tasteful and recommendable. Unfortunately we are back from holidays now, but if I ever get nearby again, I will certainly visit the Wheatsheaf again. Please keep the stout on the menu! Best regards from Delft, The Netherlands.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeAn excellent pub and hotel which has a wonderful atmosphere and is very kid, dog and muddy boots friendly! The food is really tasty, excellent and friendly service and good value. I would recommend to anyone.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeFirst time visit whilst on holiday. The staff were brilliant: a warm welcome when we arrived and good service throughout. A good short menu made it easy to select the sharing nacho plate to start and salmon and a steak ciabatta. All were cooked to perfection, beautifully presented and most importantly very tasty. When we are back in the Lakes, The Wheatsheaf will be a “go to” place to eat a value for money lunch.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeFood and service excellent
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeExcellent food, nice atmosphere, would definitely go again. Think they could have done with an extra staff member but they were really friendly and helpful.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeVery nice fish and crispy chunky chips with mushy peas for me. I could have done with more peas though. My husband had the steak pie and mash also with mushy peas, and he said that a portion of carrots wouldn't go amiss as they are not expensive and would be a contrasting texture. Having booked our table online, we arrived at 7 and had to queue for about 5 minutes to be seen and shown to our table, and the drinks took a mysteriously long time to arrive. However, we waited a relatively short time for our food. Overall a good experience, but we have been before and things were better.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeFabulous quality and value Sunday roast dinners in an old world atmosphere. Excellent staff and service.
