The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeHad a lovely two day stay at the Wheatsheaf. Lovely atmosphere and lovely people and great food. It was a great treat for us.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeFabulous as usual. The nut roast was delicious. The service by Lucy and the team brilliant.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeFood excellent. Great pub with plenty of character. Staff very attentive, polite and professional.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeFood was lovely and plenty of it. The service was a tad slow but when staff did come to table they were very pleasant. The atmosphere was good although they would benefit from a mobile card machine, as the bar area was quite full and would have liked abit more room and privacy whilst using my card. It was lovely to sit by the open fire and our three year old grandaughter also loved it too. Always a friendly welcome .
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeAlways a great atmosphere and brilliant service. Every staff member has always been incredibly friendly and welcoming. Food great, beer great, staff great. Whats not to like.

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeHad an excellent time at the Wheatsheaf last Saturday evening (21st.) with our Son and his Partner. We all loved the friendly relaxed atmosphere in this attractive 17th. century inn. The service was welcoming, friendly and cheerful. There was plenty of choice with a specials list and my wife, who is a vegetarian was well catered for. There is a good range of drinks, my Son enjoyed the draught Belgian beer and I enjoyed one of the local real ales on offer which was very well kept. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food (the fish was outstanding) and we look forward to returning. We live locally and have visited the Wheatsheaf several times and know that it always maintains its high standards of food, service and welcome.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe visited the Wheatsheaf on 24 December. We used the on line booking system to book a table for 5. This was very straight forward and we received a reminder of our time the day before. The menu was seasonal and the food was excellent. The staff were attentive and helpful. Only downside - our table was very near to the front entrance and every time the door opened you could feel an icy draft which at times was uncomfortable especially if a few people came in together. Next time we will request a table in the back room where the fire is.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWent for a lovely meal on New Years Day, food was delicious. Portions though are way two big (strange thing to say I know) but I ordered the onion bhaji to start (3) in one portion, then had the chicken parmigiano, the chicken breast was so big, you could have got two portions out if it, hence I could not finish mine, which I was so annoyed as it was lovely! My husband waived on the starter and opted for the Philly cheese steak and fries which he really enjoyed, then his fave pud - sticky toffee pudding with custard. The two of us were full to bursting. Staff are all friendly and attentive but not in your face. Reasonably priced and a lovely end to a fab New Year
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeA party of three had lunch with you on Friday 30th December. We were at the big round table in the window by the fire. It had been a very wet week so the fire stoked up was really welcome. We all greatly enjoyed our meal. Service was quick and attentive. We have eaten with you before and will do so again.
