We stayed at the County Hotel this weekend and this little gem was recommended to us by the Hotels receptionist. Wow, we will certainly be back. Thank goodness we only had a main course, the sharing meze platter . Not been able to decide what to order, this was an excellent choice. We were able to sample a bit of everything . The food was absolutely amazing and well worth value for money. I would say book if you get chance.

Another exceptional meal tonight. Warm welcome on arrival, we were shown to our table and given recommendations on the wine. We went with one of the Greek wines recommended and it was delicious, easy to drink and very enjoyable. We had starters, a tomato and feta soup which was so flavoursome & a deep fried feta with honey, excellent choices. We then had the sharing meal for two, oh my word! So much gorgeous food! Perfection on a plate & can highly recommend choosing this. A busy Saturday evening on a match day and we were given all the time we needed. Lovely friendly staff and a great atmosphere inside. We will certainly be returning in the new year!

A party of ten of us ate here yesterday lunchtime. The lunchtime special menu is superb. We all shared a selection of mezze then ordered our own main courses. Everybody there was so impressed with the food, the service and the price. The whole experience was excellent.

Beautiful meal, we chose the venue for our work team xmas meal and were not disappointed! Fantastic menu with lots of choice and the food was perfect as well as great value for money. Beautifully cooked and full of flavour. Excellent friendly service, I would highly recommend.

We had our Christmas party at Kafeneon and it was excellent. There were 11 of us and we preordered our meals so that we could all be served together and it worked perfectly. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and everyone really enjoyed their food. I had been to Kafeneon before and I will be going there again.

The best Greek food I have tasted outside of Greece. Every time I go, the standard is very high. Can never pick a fault, and meals are perfect across the table. The staff members are some of the most polite I have come across at a restaurant. Will always return when in Newcastle.

Good value Xmas menu for two courses. Lovely food and great speedy service, will definitely be back

It’s a long way from my home, but it’s my favourite Greek restaurant. Fantastic food, good portions and great service. I hate eaten here ten or more times it never disappoints.

Had another great meal on Wednesday night. As usual the staff were friendly and professional. I tried some items off the vegan menu and can totally recommend the lemon potatoes whether you're vegan or not! I also had the tomato soup and courgette fries. Bit different to my normal choice but delicious. Will be back very soon

Fabulous food as ALWAYS. Lovely friendly atmosphere, staff are amazing. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for traditional Turkish food. Once you’ve been there you’ll go back time & time again
