KafeNeon – Newcastle City CentreExcellent meal with friends. Can't wait to return soon.
KafeNeon – Newcastle City CentreIt's was really busy when we arrived for our booking. But we were seated promptly and service was quick and efficient without feeling rushed. Food and drinks were delicious. We all had the Restaurant week menu which had a great choice and was amazing value at £15 for 2 courses. Would highly recommend a visit regardless of any memu offers. Do book though to avoid disappointment. We will definitely pop back next time we are in Newcastle.
KafeNeon – Newcastle City CentreI’ve been to the restaurant several times in the past and always enjoyed the experience. This time was with a party of six. We were there during restaurant week and for some it was their first time. We all ordered something different from the menu. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and we shared a taste of each others meals. All in all an excellent night out. Great food, great staff and a cracking place to eat.
KafeNeon – Newcastle City CentreCould not fault the food, it was absolutely gorgeous, my husband and i had the mixed meze for 2,we thoroughly enjoyed it. We'll definitely be back next time we are in Newcastle
KafeNeon – Newcastle City CentreDelicious food. Great portion sizes. Friendly service.
KafeNeon – Newcastle City CentreFabulous lunch at Kafeneon with my friend yesterday. It was restaurant week so we booked a table which was upstairs . The waitress looking after us was 1st class so helpful and friendly . We chose from the special menu - we shared a starter of dips and breads and to follow we ordered the pastichio and chicken souvlaki- I did ask if I could order a side of fried zucchini’s but they weren’t on the menu . Our waitress came back with our wine and said the chef was going to serve fried zucchini’s instead of chips with the souvlaki- I thought that was so lovely . My friend and I shared the main courses and both were delicious especially the zucchini’s . The plan was to share a starter of dips, and a dessert but we were so full we couldn’t manage another thing . I just love this place I have been going since it opened many years ago when it was part of the original Simply Greek restaurant all owned and run by same Greek family . The food is the best Greek food outside of Greece in fact I would say it’s better than many places I’ve eaten in Greece in recent years as lots of places cater to tourists over there sadly . Kafeneon is for me the best restaurant in Newcastle by a mile ! Thankyou !
KafeNeon – Newcastle City CentreWe booked a meal in Newcastle Restaurant Week. The menu was varied and we chose 3 courses for £20. The starters we shared were a variety of hummus, lamb meatballs served with toasted pitta bread a salad. The mains we had were beef stiftado with rice and salad, and a lamb and halloumi burger., served with fries. All arrived promptly and piping hot. The baklava dessert came with cream and ice cream. All the food tasted authenticity Greek and delicious. My husband had a glass of pino grigio; but was a bit disappointed there was no Greek House wine. The service was excellent and we will definitely visit again. Lovely atmosphere.
KafeNeon – Newcastle City CentreThe food was far too salty. Threat service and staff but food wasn’t great. Soup bland. Duck greasy wasn’t crispy. Wont be back sorry. But lovely staff. £165 for 3 people and we left most of it as too salty to eat.
Landmark Oriental – Newcastle City CentreFabulous food, drinks and staff. First time here and will certainly be back
KafeNeon – Newcastle City CentreFantastic food staff and atmosphere. My favourite restaurant
KafeNeon – Newcastle City CentreAmazing restaurant. Sat downstairs in the "Greek caves" - it reminded me of being on holiday in Greece. Truly delicious food. Restaurant Week menu was superb. 2 courses for only £15 - excellent quality good and great value for money too. Service was speedy and food was piping hot at our table. Will definitely be recommending the restaurant to our family and friends. We will be back soon. We throughly enjoyed our visit to KafeNeon. Thank you.

KafeNeon – Newcastle City CentreRestaurant week, 3 course menu for £20 PP. Unreal value for money , food quantity and quality was amazing.
KafeNeon – Newcastle City CentreAbsolutely amazing food we will be back soon and staff were very efficient
KafeNeon – Newcastle City CentreWe loved it, everything we had from the special menu was beautiful and we thought the service was incredibly good. The stand out starter was probably the lamb meatballs, and the lamb and halloumi burger main. Slight shame that neither the orange cake or baklava dessert were available but a dessert cocktail was actually probably better anyway as portions were decent and a big dessert may have been too much. We will definitely be back.
KafeNeon – Newcastle City Centre4 of us had a meal here weds 2.30 during restraunt week. Absolutely great from start to finish. Attentive cheerful service lovely atmosphere and tbh great food. Not often all 4 of us enjoy every aspect of the day out but we did this time. Fully recommend this spot.
