Excellent food , large portions, friendly staff and decent prices. What's not to love??

I went with a friend yesterday for lunch . It was our first visit and a recommendation from another friend. We had a delightful meal and time there. Tables are well spaced out so you can chat freely and not be bothered by other diners even with a large group there at the same time. We both had the set lunch menu which had plenty of choices and I noted plenty of interesting choices for vegetarians too . Value for money was excellent. Food was excellent and so plentiful we both couldn’t eat it all . Delicious . We were both very happy with our choices. The staff were very helpful and charming making it an enjoyable lunchtime for us both. Thank you to front and kitchen staff . It was my first day out having been ill and I was glad to have chosen Red Meze . I unconditionally recommend this restaurant.

Never been disappointed At Kafeneon. The food is always excellent, authentic Greek food, the portions are very generous and the staff are pleasant and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Lovely food with a good choice of gluten free options. Cocktails were also very nice. Service was prompt and friendly.

Ive wanted to try this place for a while & i finally got to for my birthday. Pleased to say i was not disappointed. Hummus & pitta for starters, also tried the deep fried feta saganaki & it was beautiful! Obviously went for the chicken gyros for main & it was lovely. I think i enjoyed my starters too much i couldn't finish my main (portion sizes were very generous). Overall ill be back as soon as possible!

Our first visit and we would happily return if the opportunity arises. Very friendly, and quick, service and excellent food. We were also impressed at the care shown with guests, as we heard the manager (?) twice advising groups to reduce their order and have LESS food!

We loved the food keeping it traditional with super portion sizes. Milk shakes and cocktails are amazing too. Overall good experience

Food as good as anything I’ve eaten in Greece, Kleftico had loads of lamb, a lovely sauce with lemon potatoes and a delicious salad, big fat Greek gyros wasn’t eaten in full, though he did try! Lovely service - attentive but not too much. We’ll be back!

Another lovely meal at Kafeneon. Excellent value set menu and delicious authentic greek dishes. The service is always good and the young lady who looked after us last night was friendly and professional. Our favourite Newcastle restaurant.

Food always good but restaurant was busy and there’s no where to wait for a table. We were put at the 2 seater by the entrance which should be removed. It was like sharing your meal with everyone in there.

Dinner with my mum and we both really enjoyed it. Great choice on the menu, we hat the chicken/feta dish and lamb kleftiko. Both very tasty and would highly recommend. Good value and service, will visit again
