Ate with friends early on a Wednesday evening, before attending a concert in Newcastle. We arrived to a super friendly welcome and a bustling restaurant. Food, drinks and service were all excellent as ever, and of course great value.

I went to two Greek places in Glasgow recently and then here mid week for a works meal. This was definitely the best of the 3 (and the first 2 were good!) Food was really nice, good 2 course price, clean, tidy and staff friendly. Really pleased we chose here.

Four of us had a really good meal at Red Mezze yesterday. We were given a choice of table when we arrived, the staff were all absolutely great, we felt very welcome. We all had starters and mains, everything was tasty and well- presented. Then we were given a complimentary dessert to share, which was a very nice touch. For value-for-money this restaurant is unbeatable. Thanks to all staff.

This is my second visit with a dear friend. The standard of service was, again, second to none. Knowledgeable staff. Good range of vegetarian options and an excellent drinks menu. All wellpresented and did not have to wait too long for service and presentation of food

I was here for a meal with my husband. We both really enjoyed our food which was amazing. The restaurant is so relaxing and the staff are amazing. Thank you for a great meal.

Excellent food and service. Ordered from the special menu which was brilliant value, two courses for £13.95. Would certainly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back soon.

Everyone from the Team had a fabulous night - our tables were brilliant, all sat close together in the same room, food was so good and the service was brilliant. Can't thank the team at Kafeneon enough for a really lovely night. We will definitely be back

I’ve been coming here for yeeearrrs with my friend. We both went to University together in Newcastle over 16 years ago and first found Neon then.. we’ve always loved the place! The food is always great, and reasonably priced, the staff are always lovely - particularly the family who own the business and we’ve never had a bad meal. I am so so glad that not only did this business survive the last few years - Covid and the cost of living crisis - but they seem to be thriving with a recent redevelopment. We don’t get to come as often as we used to but it’ll always be a favourite with us and we always recommend to others looking for a good place to eat in the centre of Town.

I visited Kafeneon with a friend and we tried the happy hour special meal which was a starter and main course. The restaurant has a warm and friendly environment and we were welcomed with a friendly smile. Our food was delicious. And the espresso martinis are amazing. We will definitely visit again soon. And will recommend to family and friends. Service was outstanding. Thank you.

Lovely meal for my wife’s birthday. Staff were very attentive and service was excellent. They even brought out a drink for the birthday girl. Food was delicious as always and it won’t break the bank.
