Second visit , brought some friends along , loved it all . Food was gorgeous , excellent service- put us all in the mood for our trip to Rhodes end of September.

In Newcastle for a theatre visit and as Grecophiles we decided to have a trip down memory lane as we used to visit Simply Greek in the early 2000s. Brilliant service in a pleasant ambience. Food was spot on. We had the Deep fried Feta Saganaki along with Spanakopita to start then Yemista and Pastitsio for mains all delicious and great portions. All in all a brilliant meal and highly recommended. We will be back soon when we are next in Newcastle.

First time eating here and will definitely be back. Food was lovely, served quickly, and service was brilliant. Love pace of serving with it being tapas. Loved the decor of restaurant too which made it feel authentic

Visited with two friends on Saturday 23rd August. Food absolutely delicious. Well presented and very tasty. Great value for money. We got two starters to share which was more than enough. Our mains and a dessert plus we shared a bottle of wine. £35 each including tip. Really good value for money. Would definitely visit again as this place always delivers on quality of the food, service and price.

Great food, friendly staff nice ambience. Good presentation, good portions. Excellent cocktails. Clean and comfortable environment. Can have a snack or full 3 course meal, wine or water no pressure from staff/management. Always a pleasure finding at kafeneon.

I would highly recommend this restaurant. We had a fabulous meal. The food was delicious and the staff very attentive. The whole evening was great!

Hadn't been for a little while and was glad to revisit yesterday. As usual my meal was delicious, I had pasticcio and my husband had kleftiko. Both meals were lovely and I particularly liked the lemon potatoes that came with the kleftiko! Luckily I had room fir walnut cake and coffee. The service was excellent.

Love it at Kafeneon. Often go for lunch and take friends. Relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff, which makes all the difference. Great choice of food.

We love kafeneon , staff are always so welcoming and attentive, the atmosphere is always lovely and food served quickly, portions are huge esp for the price and always so tasty, it's by far our favourite place in Newcastle for food definatley recommend!

We visited yesterday lunchtime. We were seated very quickly and served our first drinks just as quick. My husband had a beef stifado and I had vegetable Mousaka, both were delicious. We would definitely return again

We have been to Kafeneon quite a few times and always had great food and service. We took some relatives with us who were visiting from Leeds and they were well impressed with their sharing meze platter. My wife and I chose the 2 course lunch special which was mostly fine but the chips were awful. Obviously frozen ones and nearly all of them were hard and burnt black. Never hand this problem before when we have dined here. £2 was taken off our bill ( quite pathetic really ) Hope it was just a glitch as we normally never have anything to complain about at this venue.
