Fujiyama – Newcastle City CentreThis place is fantastic - it stands head and shoulders above the crowd. It covers all occasions - the quick coffee and a snack on a Saturday lunch time to a special occasion meal. My family and I have been going for years and we have never had a bad meal. The only thing that stops me going more often is that I now live in Manchester - please Pani open somewhere in West Didsbury.
Panis Cafe – Newcastle City CentreI loved the Balti Saag Paneer, a vegetarian delight with fresh ginger, chilli and coriander served in a sizzling Balti dish. Order a 'special naan'- they will do any variety (peshwari goes well with a Balti). The special part is the size- you can dispense with a table cloth! They also serve great mango lassi and locally made kulfi for desert. I have been eating here since I was a student and it keeps dragging me back to Newcastle!
Komal Balti House – Newcastle City CentreThe food is great, the staff are very friendly. It has just opened up an upstairs area, so you will always get a seat. It? B.Y.O but there is an off license next door that sell Cobra and other Indian beers.
Khans – Newcastle City Centrethe best pizza in newcastle and owners are very friendly - michelle robinson newcastle
Mamma Mia – Newcastle City CentreSuperb. You will struggle to get better.
Raj Tandoori – Newcastle City CentreFor authentic atmosphere and an inventive combination of British and international cuisine - head to Blackfriars - a secluded 9th century temple, just behind Newcastle's Chinatown. It has style and a great selection of wine, a waiting list and a ban on smoking. But even the smokers will consider it well worth the trouble.
Blackfriars Restaurant – Newcastle City CentreHappy Hour Cocktails, £6 each. From 5pm-7pm daily.
2 courses for £12.50, available every day from 12pm-5pm.
