We booked a meal in Newcastle Restaurant Week. The menu was varied and we chose 3 courses for £20. The starters we shared were a variety of hummus, lamb meatballs served with toasted pitta bread a salad. The mains we had were beef stiftado with rice and salad, and a lamb and halloumi burger., served with fries. All arrived promptly and piping hot. The baklava dessert came with cream and ice cream. All the food tasted authenticity Greek and delicious. My husband had a glass of pino grigio; but was a bit disappointed there was no Greek House wine. The service was excellent and we will definitely visit again. Lovely atmosphere.

The food was far too salty. Threat service and staff but food wasn’t great. Soup bland. Duck greasy wasn’t crispy. Wont be back sorry. But lovely staff. £165 for 3 people and we left most of it as too salty to eat.

Amazing restaurant. Sat downstairs in the "Greek caves" - it reminded me of being on holiday in Greece. Truly delicious food. Restaurant Week menu was superb. 2 courses for only £15 - excellent quality good and great value for money too. Service was speedy and food was piping hot at our table. Will definitely be recommending the restaurant to our family and friends. We will be back soon. We throughly enjoyed our visit to KafeNeon. Thank you.

I have been to the resturant Kareneon a few times its clean and staff are friendly.the food is amazing would defintely recomend it to anyone.Came for resturant week £15.00 for 2 course

We loved it, everything we had from the special menu was beautiful and we thought the service was incredibly good. The stand out starter was probably the lamb meatballs, and the lamb and halloumi burger main. Slight shame that neither the orange cake or baklava dessert were available but a dessert cocktail was actually probably better anyway as portions were decent and a big dessert may have been too much. We will definitely be back.

4 of us had a meal here weds 2.30 during restraunt week. Absolutely great from start to finish. Attentive cheerful service lovely atmosphere and tbh great food. Not often all 4 of us enjoy every aspect of the day out but we did this time. Fully recommend this spot.

Visited with friends during Newcastle Restaurant Week for a lunchtime meet-up. Excellent food and plentiful, we could only manage 2 courses. Wonderful value for £15. Staff attentive but not intrusive. Lovely authentic atmosphere. We will certainly be back.

Out for food in restaurant week with my wife and our 2 friends. Only one place to go, for a Greek at Kafeneon. As always, the food was outstanding! Meatballs, pittas, dips and halloumi fries to start, all fantastic! Then the mains, stifado, souvlaki and pastitsio was all incredible. And all for less than £90 for 4 people. The 2 courses for £15 is a bargain. And even better when the food is 10/10. Service from all the girls was first class also! Will return, 100%!

Went last year with my wife as part of the NE1 restaurant week and really enjoyed it, so thought I’d try again with a mate. The place was buzzing but there was plenty of friendly staff and the service was really good. The food, as last time, was superb. We had 3 courses for £20. Very authentic, very tasty and all washed down with a bottle of Greek Wine. For such quality food the price was exceptional. Recommend to anyone.
