I recently visited the restaurant with my girlfriend, and we had an amazing experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious—each dish packed incredible flavors and was beautifully presented. We especially enjoyed the variety of tapas, from savory bites to more adventurous options. A perfect spot for a relaxed yet flavorful meal. Highly recommend!

First time visit, food very tasty and staff friendly. So I'll definitely be back soon.

I booked a table to entertain some business colleagues from Germany. Service was excellent and the food was delicious with plenty to go around. We had banquet set menu for 4. My guests throughly enjoyed it.

Booked in advance as i was taking my dog, we both opted for the 2 course set menu. Amazing value at £15.95 each. Staff were so friendly, welcoming my dog and brought some water straight over. I got the meatballs for starter, boyfriend sausage dish. Mains we got the lamb and halloumi pitta and chicken souvlaki dish, both came out piping hot and full of flavour. No issues at all, all ate and done within an hour slot. Very good service. Would def return, just over £40 with a bottle of beer each. Good value.

Super evening! We were meeting another couple who were visiting the area after a long time (they used to live and work in Newcastle) so needed a couple of hours to chat over a nice meal. Kafeneon really lived up to this. We were not rushed and the couple of Mezzes were so tasty! As always, slightly too much to eat - but we managed. Service attentive and pleasant, but never intrusive. We’ll be back - thank you. Les.

Couldn't fault anything about the restaurant. The food was outstanding and extremely good value for money (the 2 course deal was a steal for what we received). The staff and service were also exemplary. If in Newcastle and you enjoy Greek food, then couldn't recommend this place enough.

We celebrated our daughters 18th birthday on Tues evening and it was an amazing night. Food was absolutely stunning, portion sizes were phenomenal, atmosphere was relaxed and all accompanied with amazing service. Could not fault anything. I had to change the number of guests (more family members to add) on two occasions and the quick response was impressive. I would definitely recommend! Thank you!

Yet another great night, each and every dish for all 3 couples were perfect. Lots of choice including vegetarian options. Service was attentive without being oppressive. Atmosphere was relaxing and convivial, will definately be back ( again ).

Lovely food from the 2 course special menu, great value for money.

Food: AMAZING, the portion is giant to the point my partner and I feel bad for wasting because we are full. Service: Great, waiters always seemed ready to leap and help us. Value for Money: Yeah, great based on the current circumstances, but need clarity on the menu if the platter will be taking two people's price instead of showing one person's price. Atmosphere: Great as always. :)

If any restaurant deserves high praise it is in its consistency. Kafeneon is consistent in its superb service. its quality food, the range available and vegetarian options. It is my go to place when I go with friends. I have never had a bad experience. Working around the menus is a delight. I may also mention their Prosecco is the best I've tasted. They are competitively priced and I don't know where the staff come from - but never seen any of them with a frown on their face - you can have good food but it means nothing without the staff - well done

Welcome, food and service are great. Good value for money, too. Always busy, and unfortunately that means it’s very noisy. Not a place where you can have a conversation. In summer you can sit outside and the noise level is much lower.
