Visited for restaurant week and thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Tasty food, great portion sizes and excellent value for money. Will be back again!

What alittle gem. Fantastic staff, very friendly, fab food and lovely mocktails. This was our second visit and did not disappoint. Looking forward to our next visit.

Another lovely meal on Wednesday evening before the match. We were given one of my favourite tables upstairs and the service was great. The restaurant week menu was great value and the food delicious as usual

Had an excellent meal yesterday from the restaurant week menu. Five guests and everyone enjoyed. Not one complaint. Staff are all extremely pleasant and efficient. Our first visit but will definitely return. Thank you.

Myself and two friends visited for restaurant week. The menu was extensive and each of the dishes we chose were delicious and made with care . The portions were generous. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. 10/10 recommend. Will definitely go again.

Recently 18 work colleagues visited Kafeneon and the service and food were once again superb with no issues at all even with quite a large party. We have been many times and the standard is always exceptionally high. We all look forward to our next visit soon

Wonderful experience at Kafeneon. Second visit and not disappointed. Went for lunch at midday on a Thursday and was expecting it to be quiet - we were pleasantly surprised that it was busy, we knew then we had made the right choice. Food was yummy and great value, and service was spot on. All the staff we encountered were extremely polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend

We always visit Kafeneon whenever we are in Newcastle. Being vegetarian we love the vegetarian moussaka. It's always delicious & is served with pitta & salad. Staff are always friendly & attentive too. Looking forward to our next time there.

Service is impeccable, as I'm allergic to peppers and chillies & love Mediterranean food it can be difficult with my allergies to eat out, our waiter was so attentive with my needs & communication from the chef was second to non, food was sooooo delicious just wish I could have finished it really good portions & the wine was very good too, we each had a starter, a main & shared a bottle of rosé, we were surprised when we paid how reasonably priced it is to eat at Kafeneon we will most definitely be eating here again.

What a place! Visited for restaurant week and absolutely blown away. The atmosphere was warm and cosy, the staff were wonderful and the food was delicious and the portions were huge. 10/10

Lovely restaurant - the aesthetics of the restaurant with the painted walls was wonderful. The staff were great and friendly and the food was incredible - really high quality and authentic Greek cuisine. Going to Kafeneon was a real treat for me and the rest of my party!

Dined yesterday for restaurant week. First visit and it won't be the last. Fantastic and really good portions. Sat downstairs and it was lovely with a good atmosphere. Plenty staff around, very attentive but not in your face.

Came last night for restaurant week and it was fantastic! We were. Group of 4 (and 1 meal to take out) we had holoumi fries, slouvaki, a lasagne type thing , a lamb and holoumi wrap and 2 x stifado The portions were huge and everything was tasty and hot The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient and the bill was leas than £100 for 5 of us with 3 soft drinks, a pint and a wine We cant believe we haven’t been here before and will definitely be returning

As always, a lovely welcome by the staff and the service great. The food was hot, fresh, and tasty and we didn’t wait long. Lovely atmosphere and makes for an enjoyable time.
