Jorges Restaurant – NorwichI went with a friend to Jorge’s as I’d heard good reports and it certainly did not disappoint quite possibly the best steak I’ve ever had in Norwich great service lovely atmosphere Jorge himself extremely helpful ! Not cheap, but worth every penny in my opinion will definitely be returning
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichMore than just a meal out - it's a dining experience. My fiance and I came here to re-live our recent holiday to Portugal and it did not disappoint! The hospitality was wonderful, the decor, lighting and details made it a great setting - and from the moment we walked in, the smell let us know we were in for a fantastic meal. You can tell the staff are passionate about the food they serve, so we had no problems parting with our money - it was well worth it. When we ate it was like being transported out of Norwich back to our holiday and we had a wonderful evening out. The food was so flavourful and delicately created, while still being very satisfying. Could not recommend this place enough if you are looking for culinary excellence.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichWe loved Jorge’s. Friendly welcome from charming staff. Delicious food and good advice received as to which wines to accompany all courses. Iberican pork particularly delicious. We were just visiting Norwich and were delighted to have found such a wonderful place to eat. Thank you to all who made it such a wonderful experience.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichTucked away from the hustle and bustle, this restaurant is a true find. Jorge and his team offer impeccable service that complements the incredible Portuguese cuisine. From the moment you walk in, you're treated to delightful flavors and a cozy ambiance. If you're looking for a unique, authentic dining experience with outstanding food, this is a must-try.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichWOW. In my opinion this is the best restaurant I have been to recently. The service was top class and the food was fantastic. I will definitely be going again.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichSaturday 04/05/24 Jorges, once again an excellent meal. We have been here a few times now and on each occasion it never fails to disappoint. Its now our go to restaurant for special occasions , and to treat ourselves. The food, service and ambience never fails to disappoint. Will be returning very soon. Thank you
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichAbsolutely perfect meal as always. Jorges never disappoints. Ther food and service is 5* delicious and fresh. You can taste the quality of the ingredients used. It's my favourite place to eat in Norwich.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichPortuguese cuisine doesn't get the exposure it deserves and Jorge's encapsulates it outstandingly, with a real range of dishes to match the considerable depth of quality. Though I'm not a vegan, I'm impressed they offer three vegan mains rather than the usual one copout dish so many places opt for. Same applies to the fish, fowl and red meat choices, and of course the wine (again, Portuguese deserves more exposure). And while the most expensive offerings are more pricey, there's plenty that's well within the expected range. The challenge isn't finding something you like but narrowing it down to one. Good atmosphere too: small, tucked off the main street and intimate. Definitely going back.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichExcellent food, very warm welcome (despite being late), spot on service from Poppy who really knows her stuff. Will definitely be returning. If pushed for constructive criticism, the food cooled too quickly because the dishes and plates were cold.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichExcellent food and service. Some really beautiful, flavourful tapas dishes. Would definitely recommend.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichFabulous lunch at Jorges.. The tapas dishes were delicious, the wine was excellent and the service was perfect! Will definitely be back soon!
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichFaultless ! As always perfect food and perfect service
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichJorges has a lovely, homely atmosphere. The service is always very friendly, helpful and efficient. There isn't a bad choice on the menu. Which has expanded recently to include a variety of Iberico pork dishes and a small selection of cerviche dishes. My only niggle is that I wish more of an effort was made to keep the plates warm for serving so that the food stays hotter for longer. This is not a show stopper, but it would make the whole experience perfect for me. The pastel de nata are great reminders of happy times spent in Portugal and Madeira. The cherry liqueur, Ginja de Obidos, makes a gorgeous finish to a meal. Smooth and creamy, with a lovely cherry flavour.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichWhat a gem Jorges is. The food was amazing, the menu isn't huge which is great as it's all cooked fresh to order. The staff are lovely and helpful. Definitely booking a return visit.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichExcellent meal. Excellent service. Will definitely go again. Steaks were out of this world. Would definitely recommend for a special night out. Could not fault and made my husbands birthday.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichFantastic food, atmosphere and hospitality. A brilliant gem of a restaurant.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichAfter vowing never to eat in motorway services again, we booked this meal as a stop off on our way home from the Norfolk Coast. This is exactly the reason why. The food was all absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. It's a little place with a relaxed atmosphere. Our children (6 and 8) were the only children in there but I'd recommend it for kids. The staff were lovely with them and they loved the food. They picked the prawns as their favourite tapas choice but ate a bit of everything we chose. The pork ribs and cured meats and beef croquettes were all memorable too but it was all delicious! Also.....the desserts were amazing! We are two sweet tooths and 2 not so much. We had the chocolate mousse (best chocolate mousse ever!), the custard tart (polished off by my son who had originally declared he was full) and the almond tart with lavender ice cream. I'm one of the sweet tooths. The almond tart was not overly sweet and made me feel like a grown-up as a result. It reminded me a little of peanut brittle, but won't break you teeth. And my husband (who had a double expresso instead of dessert) happily mineswept whatever he was allowed. We basked in the glory of our excellent decision for the following 3 hour drive home.
