A great menu using lots of locally sourced produced and prepared beautifully. Our meal was excellent, the restaurant atmosphere was great and the additional 10% discount as a saints season ticket holder made it excellent value for money. Would nit hesitate to recommend.

Wonderful variety of food and very attentive and friendly staff. The Hopping Hare never disappoints. We’ll be back again soon.

We had a really lovely Sunday lunch , service food was all excellent . Best Sunday lunch I have had for a long time . Veg was all fresh and plenty of it .

Had Sunday dinner with my son and Grandson omg the food was amazing and the waiting staff.

Food is delicious and the staff are always friendly and attentive. We had booked as a table of 17 and sent a pre order in advance - food all came out exactly as ordered and all to a high quality. My only reason for the 1 mark deducted for value for money is because the portion of lamb at £28 just felt a little bit mean, it was tiny!

Sadly we dident get to eat at the hopping hare even though I had a booking confirmation. When we arrived I we was told that we hadn’t been allocated a table in the restaurant but they did have room in a very cold sparsely decorated cafe style area to the left of the bar. I have never felt so unwelcome . I was told it was all part of the restaurant and the menu was exactly the same but with no atmosphere or ambiance and as I hadn’t specified in my booking where I wanted to sit it was ok to seat us there , very poor customer service so we left having made to feel like a second class citizen, be very careful when booking your table.

Food amazing as always, friendly service - we love coming here. Especially for a roast dinner - the red cabbage is to die for.

Friday night tasting menu was dedicated to an exploration of game. This produced a really imaginative menu with so many highlights. We will return again and again.

Lovely meal as always the lamb just melted in your mouth and friendly service, have no hesitation in recommending for fabulous food

WOW … what a lovely place to stay and to eat !! We were welcomed with friendly smiles and nothing was too much trouble . The Dinner was AMAZING , the room was immaculate and had everything we needed , breakfast was ample and delicious . We definitely will visit again Thank you

Our main course of the local venison and the desserts were outstanding, however the starter of pigeon breast was cold and the over crispy bacon not really needed. The restaurant was very busy with a 30th birthday group. The kitchen staff did really well for the breakfast service which was equally busy as the hotel was pretty full

Starters - overall all were good , mine the pigeon was over cooked Mains - tasted great but cold. This happened the last time. Offered to warm it up but I like my beef pink not overcooked when reheated. Disappointed. And we heard a few other customers make the same complaint

We had a Sunday dinner the beef was lovely, very busy, the only problem we had was the vegetables were a bit hard and the wine was very expensive for what it is. But really enjoyed it.

Birthday meal, lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious. The staff were very attentive. Well worth a visit.

Enjoyed a wonderful birthday celebration. All the food was absolutely delicious. The desserts are exceptional. Lovely staff too. My favourite restaurant.
