Had a fantastic birthday lunch on Oct 21st. The food was excellent and of a quality that would adorn any high end restaurant. I had the smoked pigeon breast to start and it was very tasty indeed and my only criticism would be it maybe should have been two breasts as one was not quite enough food. I had the duo of lamb for main course and this was exquisite ! I have only been to the hopping hare a couple of times but the food has been excellent.

Super meal and brilliant service - will definitely go back

We regularly come here for Sunday lunch as their roasts are amazing!! Well worth a visit as service great and such a lovely atmosphere. The beef is succulent, the roast potatoes crispy and the cauliflower cheese cheesy! Absolute delicious gravy. The team are so helpful and professional

We have eaten at this restaurant a few times now and it’s always absolutely delicious. The quality of the food is exceptional and the presentation is amazing. The chef and the team are brilliant. The service is great also. Will definitely be going back again.

Held a wake for my mothers funeral here. It was excellent. The staff were lovely, tea/coffee ready for us on arrival, and food buffet laid out promptly. The food was excellent. A nice ambience. I would highly recommend The Hopping Hare. Thank you.

We ate there on a Sunday night, we had fish and chips, venison burger and sea bream - all very good. Staff friendly and professional. My husband wished there were more draught beers on offer.

The service was smooth, the food was delicious, the portions more than enough. Will visit again. Only negative,that the starter wasn't hot enough even though the plate was,the food was only luke warm.

Always excellent food here and good value. We travel miles to come here. Service not quite so good this time - kept waiting between main course and dessert far too long. Atmosphere totally spoilt by a group of 6 single men who were en route to a rugby match. Loud, noisy, rude and expletive laden conversations drowning us out. No consideration shown to other diners . A half hearted attempt by one waitress to ask them to be quiet went nowhere. When we complained at the end of the meal she simply said we could have moved. For a restaurant of this standard that was poor.

Always a go to , The food is great love the tasting menus on a Friday, service is fantastic, some of the best food in Northampton in my opinion

The food was very good and the service impeccable. The only slight downside was a very noisy group of people on the next table, but that was not the fault of the staff.

Food excellent £9 For a medium glass of wine is a little ott to say the least Will go again But no wine next time

Went in on 30th of September for a wedding anniversary afternoon tea with my wife and baby daughter. We had a magical few hours. The food, the service, the staff and the ambience were perfect. As good an,afternoon tea I've experienced and my wife and I have eaten at the finest hotels in London, Clariridges et al. We shall return! M

We had a table booked for 9pm and by 9.30 were the only people in the restaurant. Waitresses were extremely attentive and the food was perfect. It’s a really well kept, clean restaurant with lots of parking. Highly recommend.

Our first time at Hopping Hill Restaurant. The food was excellent although we thought the lemonade was expensive. The staff were friendly and helpful. Close to home as well.

Stayed at Hooping Hare for a rugby match at nearby Saints. Food was superb. We were disappointed to find they had sold out of lamb as extremely busy but turned out to be a blessing in disguise as we had the best beef we have ever eaten in a restaurant! Everything was beautifully cooked, same for the breakfast the next morning. Would recommend this hotel and we will definitely be returning! The staff were very cheerful and welcoming too!

We have been visiting the Hopping Hare for many years, and have held many family milestone meals there. It is always great value for money, exceptional service and amazing food!! We will visit again soon, and I highly recommend.
