The Admiral Nelson – DaventryFabulous food and great service. Thank you!
The Admiral Nelson – DaventryWe booked for 15 for a post Funeral buffet. It was all beautifully set up ready with an area just for us. The food was excellent on presentation, timing, temperature and taste. There were ample plates and cutlery for a couple of extra people. The staff were kind, efficient and helpful. Thank you all for making it souche a good experience on a difficult day.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonEnjoyable lunch. Thanks very much!
The Admiral Nelson – DaventryTucked away down a single track road, but an idyllic location right next to the canal for lunch with friends. Staff were welcoming and switching our table to outside not a problem for them. Food was delicious and plentiful. Coouldn't finish the Southern Fried Chicken wraps (2), chips and coleslaw. Just ate the wraps and a few chips, which was enough for me. Highly recommend and would definitely go back if we were in the area.
The Admiral Nelson – DaventryVery disappointing lunch. Panko prawn s and avocado salad with chilli and lime dressing. No dressing on salad and not even a lemon wedge to squeeze on the prawns. No one came and asked how our meals were. Had to go to bar and ask to talk to someone. Manager came to table and said dressing was put on by the chef and continued to argue even when it was clear there was no dressing! Said she would bring dressing and also I asked for something to dip the prawns in. She returned with a pot of pink mayo which she said was the dressing. Clearly this is not a salad dressing, nor was there even a hint of chilli or lime! The manager continued to argue this was the dressing! In the end she agreed not to charge for the dish and asked if I would like something else. I didn’t.
The Hopping Hare – Northampton3 of us came for Sunday lunch for my mums 87th birthday. Very welcoming, shown straight to table. Excellent waitress / staff. Drinks order taken quickly and drinks arrived quick. We all had roast beef dinners which were very hot with good sized portions . However, a bit disappointed with the meat as it was a bit tough/chewy, not as tender as you would like. The Sicilian lemon cheesecake was excellent , highly recommend this.
The Admiral Nelson – DaventryExcellent variety on the menu.Food well presented and tempting to enjoy.Prices very reasonable for the quality. Service was excellent— friendly and courteous. The restaurant is well decorated and provides a relaxing atmosphere. Most enjoyable experience.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonWonderful food. The service was brilliant. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening dining out.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonWe both enjoyed our meals however both the salmon starter and the lamb main course where extremely small portions. The lamb main course would have benefited if some fresh local vegetables had been included. The overall experiences was positive, staff attentive.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonWonderful evening with good beer and great food! Probably the best Rump steak I've had in a pub. Reasonable prices; attentive staff; lovely setting, what's not to love.
The Admiral Nelson – DaventryGreat Sunday lunch fantastic service would recommend it to anyone
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonHad a great Sunday lunch again. Meats were beautifully cooked and there was a good selection of colourful vegetables. All staff were very personable and attentive. Definitely one of the best restaurants around.

The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonGreat atmosphere & service as always. Unfortunately one of our party had to return their veggie lasagne as it was cold in the centre. Which meant she ate alone as we’d nearly finished when her replacement arrived. Otherwise our food was good.
The Admiral Nelson – DaventryFantastic food, service, setting, all great. We had the King Carne sharing board - all of the steaks were great quality and cooked perfectly. Friendly and efficient service. Will be back soon
