Have eaten here before but yesterday was outstanding. Steak frites was lovely, peppercorn sauce to die for. Cheese board was awesome!! Best meal out we have had in ages.

First time visiting for a few years but didn’t disappoint, our waitress was attentive and professional, a credit to the company. we were not rushed and nothing was too much trouble. The starters were beautifully prepared and presented and very tasty, the mains again were beautifully prepared and presented , we will definitely be heading back soon

6 of us visited at lunchtime and all had excellent meals, reasonably priced, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and could sit outside watching the boats go by. Would definietlry recommend

Sunday lunch (27 July) was amazing. Slow roasted belly pork was out of this world. We all left with full tummies talking about our next visit ….. hopefully very soon !

Awesome food as usual, great service friendly atmosphere

Lovely food. Unfortunately I couldn’t stay as my husband had a fall on the way in. The staff were very kind and administered first aid. All that said the food and service is great.

Had lunch yesterday 22nd. What a lovely pub. Great food reasonably priced,really nice and helpful staff. Could not fault it and on top of that what a great location. Will definitely be back. These types of pubs are becoming scarce so to find this one is a real bonus. Well done the Admiral Nelson.

Probably the best Sunday Lunch I have ever had. Could not fault the food or the service. Food cooked to perfection.

Food was amazing , I had the fish and chips delicious , very friendly staff , not intrusive at all but on hand if you need anything , a lovely place to go , really enjoyed it , been twice in three weeks , really worth a visit , burgers delicious and the steaks

Excellent service and food

Popped into our local with some friends for lunch yesterday. The men had ham egg and chips and the ham portion was huge! They said it was excellent. I had a southern fried chicken wrap and that too was well filled and tasty. My friend had the fish finger sandwich which is her favourite and it didn’t disappoint. Service was excellent, value for money in a lovely environment. Shame about the rain ad we would have loved to have sat outside beside the canal. Maybe next time. So glad it’s our local - we are very lucky.

We met up family visiting from Australia. A great welcome and attentive service. The food was amazing. Our visitors said it was the best they’d eaten in the UK. Thoroughly recommend
