We had a lovely lunch here. The lunch menu was very reasonable and varied. We all had the Caesar salad. The chicken was extremely tender and plentiful. Service friendly and excellent.

The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonSpent one night here as part of our wedding anniversary. The room we had was very acceptable with a large double bed. We did find the taps a bit strange but maybe that is because we are more used to "traditional "taps! Similar problem with the shower. Our meal was very pleasant but definitely NOT up tp 2 Rosette (AA) standard. Although the website stated the a la carte menu shown was only "representative' what was offered was quite different if you wanted something other than steak/burgers/fish and chips. The goats cheese soufflé was good as was the pork loin but very disappointed that the only fish dish was battered c oc and chips. The service was speedy and the servers very pleasant. Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonGreat food, brilliant service and nice atmosphere, highly recommend
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonVisited recently with my wife for our wedding anniversary. Super service super food. Not often I see a menu and have so many choices. Recommend the Scotch egg starter, the beef fat butter omg...... We will be back. The chef is a master and the service was second to none. Not overpriced either. Value for money for great food and service.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonAbsolutely fabulous welcoming staff and obviously the food was fantastic. Thanks again and we will be back.
The Admiral Nelson – DaventryBeautiful meal - best duck have had for many a year. Efficient and friendly service.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonTwo guests for dinner 28 April. Food, service and atmosphere were all first rate. We both had three courses. Will return as soon as possible. My current favourite pub.
The Admiral Nelson – DaventryLovely pub. First time visiting and will most definitely come back. Yorkshire Pud was better than anything I've had before. Beef was delicious, tender and cooked perfectly. Lovely gravy. I'd say the roast potatoes were nice but not as good as Tobys, that's probably the only thing they do better though. Portion size was big, I would've possibly liked another carrot on the plate, only half of one given. Desserts were lovely but a tad unexciting. Wouldn't hesitate to return overall.
The Queens Arms Orlingbury – KetteringMyself and 5 friends went to The Queens Arms for Sunday lunch yesterday. It was a beautiful day and the garden is lovely. Staff were more than happy to serve our lunch outside. The Sunday roast was amazing. I am vegetarian and the veggie roast had all the trimmings. Generous portion and good value for money
The Queens Arms Orlingbury – KetteringAfter giving the restaurant another try after not so good previous experience, we again tried the Sunday lunch last week 20th April, I find it necessary to write this review. It all boils down to the Head Chef not checking the Pass. Cold plates, lukewarm vegetables and the roast potatoes ( which you’d think would be roasting hot) were also lukewarm . The waitress did not approach our table for comment until our guests were half way through their meal. Too late to rectify. When we said we weren’t happy the waitress dismissed us and walked away. Consequently, we will not be back
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonCouldn't fault anything. Very accommodating with a youngster in our group
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonEveryone had a lovely meal , as always we all said we enjoyed everything about our food choices
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonOur first visit to the Hopping Hare despite living only 7 miles away for over 20 years. We had a really nice meal. Lovely homemade breads with oil and marmite butter to start. For mains, two of us had duck, one a burger and the other the salt baked celeriac. All delicious. Then we shared desserts - a very lovely lemon tart and a sticky toffee pudding (nice but not particularly special). Service was friendly and slightly quirky, good overall. Well done HH team, we will be back.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonEverything about the dining experience can’t be faulted, in my opinion. Quality ingredients, locally, sourced. Prepared and presented to a very high standard. The menu has been carefully thought out. It gives you some slightly different choices along with the traditional meals to suit just about everyone. Portion size is just right. The dining environment is comfortable and relaxed, very clean and tastefully decorated. Staff are friendly and professional. A reliably good option for any occasion.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonEnjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch on 13th April. Food was of a very high standard, as was the service from the staff. Definitely a great find. I would definitely recommend.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonGreat food, great staff. The best Restaurant within 10 miles of where we live.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonSunday lunch 13th Apr As usual the Admiral Nelson did not diappoint. The service was friendly and efficient always conducted with a cheerful smile. The food was very good however I would have liked my belly pork a little more cooked/browned on top. The vegatables and all the trimmings were excellent as were the deserts. All in all a very good visit
