Eaten here several times and it never disappoints. The food is amazing and really well presented. The menu is innovative and interesting. I had a goats cheese starter followed by sea bream and both were really good. Just about managed to fit in a lemon tart which was also delicious. We’ll be back soon

Great food and wonderful atmosphere. The only downside is the food and drink is slightly on the expensive side.

The service was great and the food was fabulous. Only suggestions for improvement would be to have more 'sauce' with the pork loin and the beef brisket. Also, the flavour of the curly kale was a bit overpowering. Maybe try a bed of brocoli instead, or leeks? Oh, and the pear dessert we thought would be a warm pear. Still a delicious meal though, and really couldn't fault the service. Fab place.

Incredible food with a warm relaxing atmosphere it was busy but the staff were friendly and on the ball. The restaurant was filled with a couple of large parties however we didn't wait at all for service. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and all the flavours cooked and presented perfectly.

Have been a couple of times to sit in the garden during the warmer months, long overdue trying the menu out! Visited on 30 November for an evening meal, lovely cosy atmosphere, great service and food was fabulous. Main meals of steak and lamb shank were really fantastic. Will definitely be back!

We had our company Christmas lunch on Friday. I would like to say that the food was amazing. This is a great place to go to have your Christmas lunch.

A meal for four persons. Welcomed by a member of staff and shown to table in bar area, quote comfortable. Menus came quickly and at sane time drinks order taken. Meal requirements were taken efficiently and after a reasonable time the food was brought to table. All orders were delivered correctly. Quality of food was good and plentiful and enjoyed by all. Sweets and coffees were also brought to table after reasonable rest period. All members of my party were totally satisfied with the meal and it's presentation and was considered good value for money. The waiting staff were extremely patient and helpful. No rush to get us off the table which is refreshing and an overall sign of the welcoming nature of the restaurant.

Brilliant meal and reasonable cost. Absolutely loved our meal, we had 3 courses, were not rushed and all of the plates went back clean. Lovely staff and a great place to eat. We will be back

Went for lunch with 2 colleagues and as always greeted with a smile and quickly seated at our table. Went for my favourite, fish and chips, which never fails to deliver, so much so all 3 of us had the same! And for dessert we had the Christmas pudding, which was not strictly on the menu as it was part of the Christmas menu only which we were not having, but our waitress pulled some strings for us so we could have it - excellent service. Looking forward to next time already!

Food was ok, waited along time for it to come out and it wasn’t very hot. My friend had the Vegi parcel which she could hardly eat as it was rock hard and she could hardly cut it. Ordered drinks and 3 of them came out wrong. I ordered a mocktail which I started to drink only to then be told sorry we did you one with alcohol in. Didn’t seem very busy so not really sure what went wrong. Bit disappointing as this was our Christmas meal out and we hadn’t seen each other in a long time.

Last year we had the Christmas Fayre menu and it was fantastic so did the same this year. Very disappointing. One of our party of Five had the Veg choice. The roasted Squash. It was sorely lacking in volume. Hardly anything and certainly didn’t warrant the price. Another of our party can’t have alcohol so had the cheese and biscuits option, there is no other sweet desert option .We were charged £13.00. They reimbursed us after we pointed it out. They had stopped us to say we were £1.25 short. All in all it was a very disappointing night which quite honestly we won’t be repeating sadly

Birthday Treat. Went for lunch today. We had a lovely meal, thank you. The whole experience was good. Everywhere was clean and tidy. The staff were efficient and friendly. The food was its usual high standard. Very rare in most places this time of the year. Looking forward already to next visit early in the New Year. Thank you for making a birthday special.

I've been dining regularly at the Hoppin Hare for some time and have been remiss in not providing a review. The food is excellent and although not the cheapest around the quality speaks for itself and it is worth every penny. The staff are always lovely and I do see them quite often. My personal opinion is that if you have an occasion or just want a perfect meal it's the best restaurant in Northampton.

As always, excellent food goes without saying and our waitress was very patient as we were all in our late 70s.

The staff were perfect, the service was perfect and the food was top quality. All in all, a great experience for us and our guests pre Saints rugby match. Many thanks to Sarah and her team.
