I have only ever eaten here once, and it was sometime ago, but it was extremely good. It reminded me of the old fashioned, top class restaurants in London I used to go like Browns Hotel, where the interior is old fashioned but the food is always welcoming. My wife and I polished off three courses and drinks for our anniversary (including properly cooked meat) and it made a change from all those noisy places around these days - a great place to sit and talk, with good space around the tables. As I say it is some time since I went there - I must go back.

A VERY nice Balti Chicken Madras with Pilau rice. I have had a LOT of Indian cuisine over the years at some very good places, but this ranks very highly with me. I am from South Yorkshire and found this take away on the High Street in Winsford, Cheshire & have to say, if you are in teh area DEFINITELY give them a try.

I loved the duck. Everything else was really good too. But the duck was something else. Just ask for Lesley

It's a quite big place - 13 or 14 tables and recently refurbished. A large off-road parking area. Pleasant people.

Mike Bradley one of the duty managers is an asset to that pub, don't know how they would cope without him. Great food and friendly service every time.
