5 of us taking mother in law out. Food was lovely but service was very slow considering pub was empty. Service was good but 2.5 hours was too slow

Food was amazing as well as well priced, would definitely recommend.

Food was very good was her 2years ago and was not good but I have say 200% better will. Be going there soon the service is spot on and the staff seem to very happy

Really nice food and excellent service

Took a friend for a birthday lunch. Food was all delicious and all hot. The pie was smaller than it used to be ...but that is a BIG plus as it used to be overwhelming. This time perfect size and really tender. Also meant we had a tiny bit of room for pudding - again perfect. Thanks to all at the Plough for consistent tasty lunches.

normally over the years i have been going we have received great food but on this occasion the food was below the normal standard expected

It was our first visit to The Plough, we'd booked in for Sunday Lunch. We sat out front of the pub as the weather was so good. The Sunday Roast was cracking, and my other half had the Mushroom Starter and some chips, which were really tasty (plenty of it too) Tried the Helles Lager which was really good. Prices were very reasonable as well, we'll definitely be back.

Clearly based on other reviews we must have come for lunch on a ‘off’ day. My steak burger was unfortunately dry and cremated, and to be fair, it was happily replaced for a much better fresh serving. My wife’s liver and bacon dish was good, although the advertised red wine ju was more like regular gravy. I just came away with the overall impression of a very ‘tired’ pub!

At the Plough with Family , the Staff are lovely and our meals where fantastic , really enjoyed our time there ,will definitely be back again

Visited The Plough with friends. A wonderful and enjoying experience. Pleasant staff. Service very good and most importantly the food was delicious for everyone. Reasonably priced throughout. Lovely country pub and atmosphere . Will return.

Brilliant service & food

Was in the area for the weekend for BTCC, and wax recommended this place by our accommodation host. So glad we tried it, lovely quaint little pub. Staff were friendly, and inside was so nice and cozy. Good choice on menu, and the meals were delicious. My husband really enjoyed his surf & turf, and also the mushrooms to start. If we’re in the area again will definitely return.

We came for a lovely meal on a Friday, easy to book and great service. Menu is great, lots of choice - we eat there every so often so we did the steak pie and the fish and chips. Good portions and really tasty but the clincher was the apple and raspberry crumble to share, which was really gorgeous and a great idea! It was also really big but we still managed to finish it (bit ashamed to say really!) For £9 it was fantastic value as a dessert!

We have visited often, but this time we brought someone new to The Plough. It was quite busy but we were served promptly and had time to chat. We ordered 2x meat pie and one scampi and chips. The food was perfect - melt in the mouth chunks of beef in the tastiest gravy and piping hot veg and chips. We couldn't fault any aspect of the meal - just a shame we had no room for puddings! Everything absolutely lovely. Happy to travel the 1½hrs from home to have lunch here with friends. Staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. Food is absolutely lovely, plentiful and good value for money. This is my 3rd or 4th visit and have been very happy each time, can't fault anything.

Food really nice, good service. Been a number of times and never been disappointed. I would certainly recommend.
