I took my wife for a birthday treat dinner at Jorge's. The restaurant is nicely situated in a court yard in the city centre of Norwich. It's small but well laid out and peaceful even when totally full (like when we were there). We had mushroom and clam starters and as the main courses lovely cod dish and a meat espetada skewer and a side salad, finished with great chocolate mousse and creme brulee with coffee. We paid with drinks £117 which was a good price for a great meal. Very polite waitering and generally good service. We would definitely recommend Jorge's and it is probably better choice than the high end courmet restaurants in view of what you get qualitywise for your money.

Let me get things straight, the waiter and waitress were lovely, very kind, polite and interactive. However, the food. It took them 45-50 minutes for our food for arrive, shambolic quite frankly. I personally had the 'Chicken katsu curry' where I got barely any chicken almost half a thigh. The curry was watery and didn't taste as I had expected. For the price, I should've gone to somewhere else, even Wagamama was better. Genuinely, a shocker. Left sad and empty, had to get more food when I got home. In addition, we found that the soup bases for the chicken katsu ramen and pork belly ramen to be the same. They found the Ramen to have a lacklustre of taste. This is an honest review, I highly recommend you to save your money and get high quality food elsewhere.

Lovely evening at Jorges, our first visit and certainly won't be the last. Really friendly, nice atmosphere and super food.

We had a very enjoyable pre-theatre supper of delicious tapas dishes. Soft, salty padron peppers, guacamole with homemade tacos, luscious clams in tomato sauce and smoky chorizo sausage. Good service and a lovely setting.

Lovely meal as usual. We chose to sit at the bar and watched the impressive show of the staff preparing the sushi. We had the freestyle platter which left us stuffed and satisfied. Will be back soon and bringing friends for the experience!

We all enjoyed our food. There was a wide choice and the four of us all had different dishes. Good atmosphere even at lunch time. The only criticism I have is that the menu is hard to read and hard to suss out what to have with what.

Was a fantastic food experience as it always is! The rolls are the best I've had at any sushi restaurant, really varied in terms of veg in them and excellent flavours. Waiter was fun and very accomodating. The restaurant called beforehand to ask if we were celebrating anything in particular, so even before getting to the restaurant we felt very catered for! 10/10 would recommend.

This is becoming a regular destination! Great atmosphere and attentive service and the food is fantastic! The prawns were fat, oily and garlicky, and the pork ribs were charred, meaty and spicy. Best of all were the sardines, fresh and fishy. I can heartily recommend Jorges, but don’t tell too many people - it’s Norwich’s best kept secret!

Lovely meal, lovely service, VERY accommodating with allergies/food preferences.. until you get to dessert, which is such a shame when you’ve gone for a special occasion (which was logged on the booking but no one was aware) yet vegans and gluten intolerances need not apply for dessert. Despite tempura being GF on the mains, for some reason they can’t do this for the dessert, and there is no vegan ice cream or sorbet, or fruit. Even some bbq’d pineapple would have been a treat. Lots of opportunities there.. Lacking on the soft drink side too. Food exceptional though.

Went for a late lunch with a group of 6. What a beautiful little place. The service was wonderful and our waitress very knowledgeable and efficient. Now the importance part the food! The food was absolutely delicious and we all said we would definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!
