Super mummy food! Tried all the Japanese restaurants in Norwich. This is definitely the best!

I had my first visit to Jorges this week for lunch with a friend, and it won’t be my last. Good choice of tapas and those we choose were very tasty but also a generous portion for tapas. Service was friendly. It’s a small restaurant but with a nice atmosphere

absolutely lovely staff, beautiful restaurant and delicious food. was a bit nervous about ordering as i was trying wine and sushi both for the first time, but the staff were so sweet and let us taste, gave recommendations and very accomodating. we got the chef freestyle sushi platter, it had stunning presentation and the food was divine. definitely worth every penny and would recommend to everyone, especially as a picky eater.

Very friendly staff, airy and pleasant atmosphere, tasty food. The clams were seasoned and cooked just right, the octopus was delicious and the Alvarinho wine complemented the meal perfectly. Do not miss the pasteis de nata, which were just as in Portugal.

It was the second time we have been to Jeorges. Admittedly I made a mistake in my booking and accidentally booked the sister restaurant next door. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Our server, a gentleman with glasses (maybe owner) was amazing and very informative about the food. I highly recommended this restaurant and it’s authentic Portuguese cuisine. (Seafood is a must) We will be back again, very much becoming our favourite restaurant in Norwich. Thanks for having us.

Attended Jorge’s for a meal on Valentine’s evening and everything about it was great. A beautiful little restaurant, the food was unreal, a great wine list and the staff were very friendly and attentive. One of the best meals I’ve had in Norwich in a long time, already can’t wait to return!

Sashimi excellent, but tempura vegetables the worst I have had anywhere - soggy batter and too much sweet potato (I guess the restaurant had a fair amount of sweet potato to get rid of given the amount in the vegan fish and chips). I could forgive the sweet potato but it really is inexcusable to send out tempura vegetables that do not have crisp batter.

This was our third visit to Jorges and it is becoming one of our favourite restaurants. We tried to get a table in the evening as we’ve not tried their evening menu, but were unsuccessful so we had a valentines lunch instead. On this occasion we had the rump steaks instead of our usual order of tapas. It was completely delicious and with two side orders made a perfect lunchtime meal. The wine is excellent, the service is impeccable with so much attention to detail. We love the quality of cooking and use of flavour here and will definitely be returning - hopefully in the evening.

Great steaks, great sides, great service, nice atmosphere and good value for money! Only critique - bathroom smelt of urine and seemed to need some TLC/attention - not welcome after a lovely meal.

The food, the place the people it was all a solid 10 out of 10. Second time being there and I was glad to attend as an early valentines date with my husband. Lovely service, the food is amazing.

Food was absolutely lovely and definitely worth the money. Service was great, staff were so friendly and attentive. Went for a one year anniversary and they were very sweet. Will be going back.

I have some reservations about the meal we had on Saturday evening. Although the service was impeccable, I felt that the food was not up to the usual high standard we have come to expect from Ciscoe’s. Ciscoe was not present on the evening in question which is unusual and it made me query whether he has in fact sold the business…? Our Agedashi Tofu was generous in portion size, but the dashi owed more to soy sauce than REAL dashi stock. The soft-shell crab tempura roll I ordered bore no resemblance to the dish I have enjoyed on numerous occasions. It is usually warm, which tells me that the crab has just been cooked. On this occasion, it was stone cold and looked very unlike the dish I have had before. The flavour suffered from the cold temperature, which was a shame as I adore this dish! It will not prevent me from returning to Ciscoe’s, but this birthday meal was something of a let down!
