Our first visit to Jorges but certainly not our last. I wasn’t expecting the restaurant to be as small as it was, however it is beautiful and quaint. The owner, as were his team were very attentive and informative regarding the menu and wine choice. My husband had the tiger prawns for starter and said they were the best tasting he’s ever had, as was his steak, cooked to perfection. Being vegetarian my choice was more limited but I knew this before I went, the mushroom starter and bean stew I had were delightful. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, lovely food and service so will definitely be back. Also look forward to trying the tapas next door.

Good service but the food was really disappointing….hardly warm, served on cold plates…steak was chewy wouldn’t recommend

Its always a 5* visit when we book to go to Ciscoe's. We've found ourselves to become regulars, with outstanding service by the Staff and most certainly the food. We usually sit at Sushi counter because we find Ciscoe's work memorising, He really has a way with food! Will always recommend to anyone that loves Sushi or wanting to give it a go! Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome! We will see you again very soon!

Jorges is a really lovely restaurant with great food and wine and excellent, friendly service. This was our second visit, which was spoiled slightly because the chef seemed to be having a logistic malfunction. My wife's food was lovely and hot, mine was only warm and quickly got tepid. Did he cook my order too soon and leave it hanging about? In spite of this we love the place and will definitely be back.

This was our first time we went to Jorges on a friends recommendation and can’t wait to go again. Both the girls who served us were accommodating and knowledgeable and the food was simply stunning. Looking forward to coming back at lunchtime soon to try the tapas menu!

So lovely to have the tapas bar as well as the restaurant at Jorges. I love the flexibility of the bar. Great food (try the piri piri chicken and the sardines to get you started) lovely staff, lovely atmosphere. Fabulous Portuguese food in the centre of the city

Our first visit to Jorge's on the recommendations of others and I must say it did live up to it's reputation. The venue is small and quaint but that certainly adds to the charm, and despite it being quite quiet during our visit the atmosphere was excellent. Staff were attentive and welcoming, the only complaint being unbooked wanderers from the street trying to book tables being seen to with the door left wide open allowing an unwanted blast of cold air into the venue. The food however was top notch, quite possibly the best cut of meat I've had in a long time and the Mediterranean fusion gives it a quirky edge that adds to the flavour experience. My only criticism would be, despite the excellent quality of the food, is that for the price the portion wasn't very filling, and a side of onion rings wouldn't have gone amiss. The dessert options were also disappointing causing us to skip the course and stop for dessert elsewhere which is why I've dropped it to 4/5. That being said, would certainly visit again for social occasions.

Great food and atmosphere. I went with my Portuguese family and they loved the food. We went for lunch but already planning on coming back for dinner. Only thing I would suggest is a portion of rice on the menu.

Our expectations and excitement was high already but the whole experience was far better then even that! Incredible evening and with sushi chef with 30 years experience helping the kitchen the quality was on full display. Brilliant floor team as well, it all felt like they loved the place. Highly recommend, top pick!!#

Average food, in a freezing cold venue, with no atmosphere. Wasn’t too expensive, but the portions were small, had to stop off for a burger on the way home. Sardines were too big to eat with the bones - too crunchy - but small enough so very fiddly to get the bones out and access the flesh. Hummus had the taste and texture of peanut butter with olive oil on the top. Japanese glaze chicken was lovely - very small. Portuguese chorizo was the blandest chorizo I have ever tasted, I’ve bought better at a supermarket, and was only warmed slightly. Mediterranean salad was full of flavour and fresh, as were the potatoes. The highlight was the mustard sauce with the pork sandwich, although the pork was a little chewy. So cold we didn’t take our coats off.

Visited on Saturday evening with two friends who came to stay with us. The meal and food was fantastic and probably the best food in Norwich. The service is impeccable with Jorge the owner on hand to answer questions and make recommendations. All the staff are very attentive and offer second to none service. The restaurant isn’t very big but that adds to its charm and atmosphere. Absoloutely recommended
