Jorges Restaurant – NorwichWe enjoyed our evening meal at Jorge's very much. Good food, lovely wine and attentive service. We especially like the Portuguese flavour in the menu. We sat in the courtyard by choice, suited us to be al fresco. With the challenges presented by covid and the pingdemic it must be difficult running a small restaurant, but Jorge had time to explain the menu and offer wine advice.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichFirst time at this lovely Portuguese restaurant and I am so glad we found it , it is so friendly and welcoming, staff where brilliant and the food was great and the casa Nata was perfect , we will be back to try all the food on the menu soon , it was like being in Portugal loved it , the service was fantastic thank you.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichAs each half of our party arrived, we were warmly greeted and informed about the dish of the day. We were well served throughout, it was like having dinner out at a friends only the food was so much more amazing than any of us would have presented. All the dishes looked amazing and the Almond Tart and Lavender Ice Cream was out of this world. We could not recommend this wonderful restaurant and it’s staff enough. There is nothing else like it in the city.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichThis is the very best restaurant in Norwich for Dinner ... Had langustines for starter ...then the rib eye beef with creamed spinach ..no fries for me !,, and then crime brûlée ... All quite star dad dishes BUT they were superb !! Lovely staff ... Great wines and atmosphere was trendy and friendly ... Would go back again for sure ...perhaps for special occasion but also to try their lunchtime tapas menu ...got to be good !!!
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichThis was our First visit - we had the lunchtime Menu and chose a selection of 6 fantastic tapas dishes with wine followed by coffee / desert. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, service was very good - will definitely return . Thank you for a lovely lunchtime experience.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichLovely small restaurant. Friendly staff and good service. Particularly love the tapas menu which is so very tasty. We were there at lunch time so not over busy but we still booked to be sure. Had a great seat near the open door so felt very safe.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichJust wanted to thank Jorge and all his staff for the lovely meal we had on Saturday 17th July. The food was very tasty and well presented but what made the night was the amazing service and attention to detail from all the staff. Many thanks
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichVisited on a Thursday night & was very busy. However, service was still excellent & staff very friendly. Had a shared starter of clams & a main of pork and my husband had steak. Every dish was simply amazing and cooked to perfection. It's honestly the best meal I've had in ages. The waitress made a wine recommendation to us & this was also excellent & paired well with our foods. Would highly recommend.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichHad Lunch with my partner, sat in the courtyard which was so nice and relaxing as it was a lovely sunny day . The tapas menu was great so many dishes to choose from . The staff will advise you on what to order as I never how much food you are going to get with tapas .It was just perfect amount of food for lunch, very tasty will recommend to friends and will return again to Jorges. With the current situation with travel restrictions of going abroad at the moment it was like dining out in Portugal .Thank you for being our little bit of Portugal in Norwich .
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichThe service and environment is lovely however there is limited flexibility on adapting to diet and allergies. If you are vegetarian read the small print - this restaurant requires advance notice. As a result I had fish but am allergic to shellfish and was pleased that the chef kindly made a sauce without prawns for me. I was disappointed that a request to swap potatoes for broccoli or salad was refused but I could pay for extra broccoli. I swapped potatoes for sweet potato and they forgot that part of my order. I saw that other people’s food looked delicious. If you like meat and prawns it’s well worth visiting.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichAs always great food the seafood cataplana was superb
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichAfter searching for a while to find a nice restaurant in Norwich, with good food and service, on recommendation, I booked for four people to dine at Jorge's on Saturday early evening. The service, food, drink and whole experience was probably one of the best I've ever had. The Hereford steak and prawns were cooked to perfection and presentation was exceptional. I will definitely be returning in the future and hopefully get to try the Tapas menu.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichThis was our second visit to Jorges restaurant and I can quite honestly say we love everything the food is fantastic the service is second to none, staff are welcoming and very friendly. We can't wait for our next visit.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichHad dinner with my wife and young son. We eat out a lot but I don't usually leave reviews. Norwich is not a small city but in my opinion 2 restaurants deserve a review: Jorge's and Roger Hackman's-simple reason- food matched perfectly with the wine. This is just my opinion but the best experience and real value for money you will get in a small cover , intimate restaurant where you get full attention of the staff, properly explained menu and really well matched wine to go with the food. As you may know autistic kids have special gift and abilities and my son except for being computer wizard was born with a refine taste for quality food. He spends time researching best places to eat out. He is very straightforward and speaks out confidently to staff when food is not up to his standard. Having said that, he often says he doesn't want to go back to places where he enjoyed food, due to feeling anxious and not comfortable. He is the one who found Jorge's online and asked to book at table first time over a year ago. We have sited Jorge's many times since and the quality is consistent. My son wants to go back over and over again and Jorge's is now his most favourite. There is not a dissh on the menu that he has critisied or don't finish. To us, that scores top marks for the chef. Thank you to all staff to make my son feel welcome and comfortable. Some places impress him with food quality but not every place makes feel comfortable to go back. 5 star, highly recommended.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichAccidentally left 3/5 review on all 4 categories. My sincere apologies. You definitely deserve 5 out of 5.
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichThe best meal we've had in a while, not just in Norwich. Delicious starters and mains- the cataplana was a star. The staff were brilliant, helpful and attentive. The room felt like a small Portuguese restaurant, with a nice buzz. Unfortunately we had to leave Norwich, or we would have been back. I don't know if you answer these reviews, but what was the tasty green vegetable on the cataplana?
Jorges Restaurant – NorwichWe had to wait quite a while for our meal but it was excellent
