Staff and food was excellent thanks for a lovely evening

Me and my husband really enjoyed your food and wine last night. Our first visit and it won’t be our last! We had clams to start then shared a sirloin steak, pork and Madagascan prawns. A sauce and extras on the side. We swapped chips for garlic potato’s. We shared a dessert of almond tart with lavender ice-cream. Jorge was so helpful along with all the waiting staff. I’ve not been to a restaurant that has given us this much brilliant service in a while. (Obviously prior to lockdown) Jorge paired the wine to our food. This is a quirky secret. We felt we were on holiday!

Three of us had lunch at Jorge's. We had not been before but the setting looked splendid as did the lunch menu, even for me as a vegetarian. The welcome was really nice, the setting lived up to expectations and the service was very good. We had a mix of tapas and they were all very nice and well presented. They looked appealing and they were nice and tasty. My only criticism is the price of the croquettas is quite high relative to the quantity. All the other dishes were good sized tapas. As a result I have given a 4 out of 5 for value but I would have given 4.5 out of 5 if Sugarvine had allowed that! I think the restaurant deserves to succeed and we will all be very happy to go there again.

Visiting the area for a week, we Trip Advisored places for dinner and found Jorges. Great food, wine, atmosphere and friendly, efficient staff, there was very little not to like. Not overly cheap, but so good for a special event.

Returned to Jorges following an amazing experience last December this time brought our daughter and parents and it didn’t disappoint Amazing food and atmosphere So much so we will be returning

Great Portugese food (particularly the Cataplana), an intimate and friendly atmosphere and wonderful service. We will defintely visit Jorges again when we're next in Norwich.

I wish I could rate this restaurant 6/5. The food is delicious, the staff so friendly and professional, and the atmosphere is just right for a romantic dinner as well as dinner with friends. This was my third time coming to Jorges and I will continue to book this restaurant in the future.

It was our first visit to Jorge having cancelled our 2020 booking due to COVID. We were a party of 4. The young waiters were helpful but had little knowledge of the tapas menu it would seem. We were a little disappointed with the food in general. The first Tapas arrived made up of five dishes. The olives were excellent and so was the bread. The mussels were also excellent. The potatoes and prawns were uninspiring . We weren’t quite sure if more dishes were arriving so I ordered more bread to fill up. The second dishes then arrived. A piece of braised stewing beef without much flavour. Chicken breast with a piri piri sauce very much resembling Nando’s. The Chips were tasty and nicely presented. The house red wine was delicious as was the white wine. The almond tart with lavender ice cream was divine. As was the crepe brûlée and custard tarts. So in a nutshell some lovely food flavours but generally not sure we will return. Sorry Jorge.

Had a lovely meal sitting in the courtyard on Tuesday evening finishing the occasion with a Portuguese tart! Very pleasant & helpful staff.

We love this place, and it's great to be back in person after lockdown (we'd had a few takeaways). The food is excellent, great flavours, love the octopus and the pica pau particularly, with wonderful vinho verde to wash it down. Jorge and his staff always welcoming and professional. Try it - you won't regret it!

Felt a little rushed , was brought olives and bread and shortly after this our starters arrived. Starters were prawns in garlic - didn’t really pack any garlic flavour. Shared the rib eye and black pork, a bit underwhelming , the steak was small to share and the meal only came with one portion of chips. All in all food was okay but didn’t ‘wow’ so was disappointed.

Food is well presented and cooked perfectly. It is a great restaurant true to the taste of Portuguese food. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. Overall an excellent service
