We have been going for a roast at least once a month for many years. It's always great, the food the service. All of it is great.

Food was faultless, a great gluten free menu. Lovely, accommodating staff. Not my first visit and definitely not my last! 10 out of 10.

Called for lunch after a 6 mile walk, We were ten minutes late, no one mentioned it. We were served our drinks and shown our table. A nice table in the conservatory where three other tables were occupied. We were left with the menu for a few minutes enough time to read and choose what we wanted. Ordered our meal. I think we waited about 10 minutes may have been a little longer. Meal arrived, fantastic, looked good and tasted good. Both plates cleared. Looked at the sweet menu, decided not to bother. (Full from the main course). Ordered coffee delivered straight away and hot. Asked for the bill, paid and left. Excellent service from two lovely chatty girls. Food excellent and nicely presented.Good value for money. Thank you.

Queens Head is consistently good. Always great food from the wide menu. The staff are lovely and offer great service with a smile. This place is a firm favourite. Thankyou

Nice friendly welcome on arrival, good choice of menu, food was beautiful, nice portions. Staff were attentive & friendly nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend to anyone & will definitely be going back..

This is the fourth year we have an annual pilgrimage to the Queen’s Head. For my mother‘s birthday, we may go for lunch and I’ll never disappointed. I had crab on sourdough with salad and chips. My mum had a baked potato with prawn cocktail. My sister and my niece had sweet chilli chicken wraps and my daughter had a ham and cheese toastie. The food is absolutely divine. All made fresh and excellent quality. The staff are lovely and very attentive. And I think it is excellent value for money.. the log fire was on in the bar making it all very cozy and warm. We were in the conservatory this time which was also lovely and warm.

First time visiting the Queens Head for a meal - definitely won’t be the last - it was excellent - the best we have had in the area - would highly recommend it

Great food and service. Best steak pie locally. A great choice on the menu. Just needs a few more people in there. Good real ale too.

Second visit to the Queens head to have an early Christmas Lunch with my Uncle, mother in law and husband. Just as excellent as the first visit, atmosphere, food and staff all wonderful (difficult to single out staff, but a big thanks especially out the waitress with Christmas nails, gingerbread man earrings and a Santa hair scrunchie) all of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals and are looking forward to a return visit in 2025. Well done all at the Queens Head!

The food is always amazing here, as is the service. I’ve been many times previously and will surely go many times again. I’ve never had a bad experience here, nor has anyone I’ve been with or heard of.

Food good (best omelette ive had in a long time)service quick,staff helpful. All together an enjoyable visit.

15 of us went for a family get together for Christmas and seeing as we all had different things, some having 3 courses some having 2 course and some picking off the main menu everything came to the table piping hot at just the right time. The food was excellent, the staff were great and all the family really enjoyed their meal.

Took my elderly parents to lunch here . From start to finish the service was outstanding. Victoria is a credit to you. Couldn’t do enough for us as to be fair the other staff . Food piping hot and generous portions . Nicely presented too . Large menu choice would meet most diners needs . We had my dad’s 80’th birthday here a few years back and are never disappointed. Highly recommend

This is a lovely pub in a lovely location by the canal. We had the Christmas meal which was very tasty and not too expensive. The service was good and we were made to feel welcome.
