Great atmosphere - very relaxed particularly as dogs are really welcomed downstairs. Food very substantial and tasty. Choice of food good. One of favourite places to visit.

Interesting menu, something a bit different which is great.

The food is always delicious, but portions are too generous! Service is efficient and friendly, and it is nice to be allowed to bring my dog in with us, or to eat outside. Coffee is excellent as well as the choice of soft drinks.

My mum and I had lunch here last Friday. Absolutely gorgeous food. We both had a sandwich (mature cheddar and apple chutney in ciabatta bread) which was served with salad leaves and homemade coleslaw. We shared a portion of skin on chips. Thank goodness we shared the fries. The portions are more than generous. Very nice venue, lovely helpful staff and great food reasonably priced. Can’t ask for more. Thank you.

Loved the new menu - unusual choices! We had the thai sweetcorn cakes with the amazing fries for lunch; shared the fries between 2 and we were stuffed! Lovely staff and fab location. Thanks

Took some friends for lunch and they enjoyed their meal very much. Friendly staff, good menu and cakes to die for.

Mistal kitchen is The Cheerful Chilli reincarnated and it has duly risen to a far better level. The menu is short but good and is still vegetarian. However, both the quality of the food and the service are far better and whoever is now running it is providing a much better organised outfit . We can vouch for the Turkish Eggs, the mushrooms on toast and the french toast with raspberries and mascarpone -all yum - not to forget the v good cakes. Also you can now book which is great

Lovely brunch and so nice to have a meat free menu. 3 of us chose different items from the menu, each was delicious. It was busy so book a table. Staff very helpful and friendly. Not so keen on the tipping system and please turn up the heating when it’s cold outside!

The atmosphere in The Mistal is very friendly and cosy, with plenty of room outside too. The food is delicious, and a little too generous for me! Lots of variety on the menu too. Great that it is dog friendly too.

Had lunch at the Mistal kitchen yesterday. Was with my 2 grown up daughters we all had something different and were all happy with the food. I had the Turkish eggs they were a taste sensation and were presented so beautifully. The cafe is in a lovely setting perfect for brunch after a walk in the chevins . Which is what we hat we had done. Great selection on the menu lots to choose from , I was spoilt for choice . The service was great and everyone was lovely and helpful We shall be back Thankyou for a lovely brunch x

Amazing food, friendly staff and beautiful views.

Really lovely supper club vegan sharing meal last night. Loads of new combinations and imaginative dishes. Great service. Left absolutely stuffed and happy. We're regulars for the daytime cafe, and this was our second supper club. We're really lucky to have a great vegan offer so close to home. Thank you.

Brilliant lunch on a busy Mothers’ day. Sublime food, great portions, lovely hot chocolates, beautiful building and setting. Will return.

Visited Mistal Kitchen for the Supper Club on 25th February and we were blown away by not just the quality of the food but the amazing portion sizes. The atmosphere was wonderful, the decor beautiful and the service fantastic. The de-alcoholised wine was surprisingly good and I didn't feel I was missing out by not having alcohol. The only downside was that I was too full to finish my delicious dessert, which is a very nice problem to have. We'll definitely be back for another Supper Club!

Gorgeous place and good food . Pleasant friendly staff on Sunday Only issue it was the poached eggs we had on our avacado on toast were hard in middle not runny .
