Lunch menu was a bit limited, but hopefully once their new chef gets established this be updated and varied. However the starters & mains we had were well made and tasty. Very friendly and helpful waiting staff.

The Blowing Stone Inn – WantageGood beer and the food was pleasant, however having to wait 40 mins for 2 starters and a portion of chips seemed extreme especially as we were about the only customers.
The Blowing Stone Inn – WantageStopped here to eat outside on a chilly Saturday evening as easing allowed in April 2021. We were camping just off the Ridgeway after cycling up from south Hampshire. The beer was excellent and the food just what we wanted. Service was excellent and so pleased that you were open. When we're in your area again, we'll be back.
The Blowing Stone Inn – WantageWe had a fantastic meal on the garden at the Blowing Stone. The food was as good as ever and the reduced menu still had something for everyone. Great to be back.
The Blowing Stone Inn – WantageFelt fabulous to be sitting in a pub garden again!!!! We had a really yummy burger to go with our wine and beer and would have stayed for pudding if it hadn't got chilly - nothing anyone can do about that! Will definitely be back - staff super friendly as well.
The Blowing Stone Inn – WantageGood Pub Good Beer and Food.
The Blowing Stone Inn – WantageDespite a chilly evening in the pub's garden, the host's warmth and attentive service made for a very welcome return to this lovely inn. Even though no-one was able to enjoy the log fire indoors, there was still a most convivial atmosphere outside. And the House Burger was as excellent as ever. (16 April 2021).
The Blowing Stone Inn – WantageAbsolutely delicious rib takeaway. Flavoursome and the meat just fell off the bones. Coleslaw was really tasty and a good accompaniment. I was very happy with this as a birthday treat. Definitely recommend.
The Blowing Stone Inn – WantageWe have enjoyed lovely meals in the pub and tonight have had the most delicious Beef and Ale pies as a takeaway. Perfectly cooked individual pies with plenty of chips and gravy. We can’t wait to try the other special takeaways on the menu. Would definitely recommend.
The Blowing Stone Inn – WantageSo glad to have the Blowingstone back open! The pub has had a refurb and is really smart, but still has the charm of a local country pub that you can have a pint in! Toby and the team and really friendly and the food is spectacular. The baked Camembert comes with a ring of bread around the cheese that you can rip off and dip with - genius. 5/5 stars!
The Blowing Stone Inn – WantagePerfect in every way , already booked our next visit . I would highly recommend to anyone.
The Blowing Stone Inn – WantageFantastic to see this lovely country inn brought back to life under new ownership. The new, smart but casual, comfortable makeover has lifted the interior, and given it a most convivial ambiance. The food too has been taken to another level, and all the dishes were exemplary, including by far the best, properly cooked burger I have had in years. Challenging times to open a pub to say the least, The Blowing Stone Inn deserves the fullest praise and every success.
The Blowing Stone Inn – WantageWe had dinner at The Blowing Stone last night and it was absolutely delicious. All three courses were beautifully presented , very filling and really well cooked. The table service was excellent and the staff were very welcoming and attentive. I would , without hesitation, recommend The Blowing Stone to family and friends and will definitely go back for another meal.
The Blowing Stone Inn – WantageWe had dinner on Friday night and the chef can definitely cook. The flavours were amazing and really well thought out and the menu was varied. The wine list interesting and varied. These guys know what they’re doing and I hope they stay for years to come.
The Blowing Stone Inn – WantageWe enjoyed a fantastic lunch at The Blowing Stone Inn. The menu had a great variety of light bites and main means, including excellent vegetarian options. We sat in the bar area which was nice and cosy with a warm fire. The atmosphere was lovely and we had a very nice afternoon. We look forward to going back again soon!
The Blowing Stone Inn – WantageThe Blowing stone Inn has reopened in the 4th of Dec under new? Management. We decided to try out there lunch menu. The pub is set in the lovely village of Kingston Lisle . There is plenty of parking , out door and indoor seating. The pub is well appointed and the new owner Paul very helpful and friendly . There is a very good range of alcohol to choice from particularly Gin . The lunch menu offered a reasonable amount of choice including vegetarian options. Which important to my wife. The good was excellent the prices good. Overall a good start for the new ownets. We wish them well and will definitely return to try out more of the food and deserts .
