We enjoyed the meals we chose, however, there could have been a few more vegetables. The plates and food were hot and the food was tasty. There was plenty of choice on the menu. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We were disappointed with the siting of our table in the conservatory which meant that my 88 year old mother sat for the duration of the meal with her coat on. We were provided with a small electric heater however this did not emit enough heat for those of us seated on the opposite side of the table. We do understand the problems with seating guests during the festive season and this experience will not prevent us visiting again in the future.

Very friendly staff. A quiet Monday lunchtime. Delicious sandwitch lunch - highly recommend the loaded fries (to share!).

Despite the pub hosting a baby shower and 90th birthday party simultaneously, my party of 3 were made to feel very welcome and the service was prompt, friendly and efficient. The food was excellent

Had a late Sunday lunch and whilst the restaurant was quiet the staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was good but menu a little limited. Given the current hot weather a couple of specials - some interesting salads might have been nice.

Usual high standard, fish platter excellent my guests loved it. I will be back.

Excellent service and food.

Food was very nice but sadly the service was disappointing. We made a booking online but when we turned up they did not have a record of the booking and said they hadn't checked their online system (!). Service was generally slow. A real shame as the food was nice and the staff were friendly.

We have driven from Midhurst to the A3 Petersfield direction, passed The Half Moon many times. Never stopped. Yesterday we decided to book for lunch with our friends. The staff were lovely, happy, very friendly. The young man (from Albania?) was wonderful! Great menu, varied and very reasonable. We met at 1230 and left at 1540! Lovely surroundings. We will be back soon!

2nd time we have visited and both times we have really enjoyed our meals. Staff are very friendly and service just right. We visit family in Waterlooville and found this pub by chance. We will continue to pop in for supper all the time we get a good experience.

We had a excellent stay at The half Moon . Nice large Bedroom Friendly helpfull staff.It was our wedding annerversary so we both had the special. I had tuna and Salad with a side of chips and my husband had Steak pie and mustard mash with veg. All very tasty.Followed by the cheese board and I had home made ice cream.We had wine. Not cheap but enjoyed.

Had a meal here recently as passing through after a nice day out but sadly disappointed. We have been here before and really enjoyed it. Staff were all lovely and helpful and the location is beautiful with their garden. The food was really salty and disappointing, we had 3 kids meals which were covered in salt and the burger was burnt. I had sausage and mustard mash with onion gravy and yet again it was covered in salt to the point you could see it all over the sausages and gravy. My parter had steak and it was nicely cooked just cold. Service itself was rather slow and the children got very hungry which then made it worse when they couldn't eat their meals as they could not handle the amount of salt.

Great menu, I’m usually quite picky but I was literally spoilt for choice. Had the pie and it was delicious. Definitely want to return for another meal and to make room for pudding! Clean and nice staff too.

The food was fantastic. They didn’t seem to have my booking on record that I made online, but we were still able to get a seat. I’ll call for a reservation next time, and will definitely go back.

Very poor, made a booking first thing which was confirmed via email and when we turned up they said I didn’t have a booking and refused to seat us despite showing confirmation email. Thankfully Queens Head down the round were more than accommodating with a late booking. Would highly recommend them instead of here!
