We booked the restaurant for a Sunday lunch. We both thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the food was excellent as was the service. The restaurant was busy with a great atmosphere. The bill was not to scary at all, great value for money. Would highly recommend. Many thanks.

My wife and I visited on Saturday night, the restaurant was busy but the service was excellent The mussels starter is delicious and more like main than a starter I had the hake with lobster bisque which was Devine , my wife had the cod with a curry sauce , it was equally delicious with loads of big prawns With a lovely bottle of ‘bone dry’ wine this was a wonderful evening Oh and the wood burner as you come in is lovely and warm and great to sit by while we waited for our lift home

Everything was superb we all really enjoyed it all, very good value as well. Made a family celebration extra special, thankyou!

We love coming to Y Sgwar when we visit Porthmadog. The service is friendly, there is a nice ambiance inside and the food is excellent. The flavour in the bruschetta starter was amazing, and the crispy skin on the bass, along with the lovely sauce was excellent. The early bird menu is good value and has good choice. We hope this restaurant retains its friendliness and high quality for a long time.

This Restaurant is lovely, this is my Special place! I’ve never had a bad Meal here ever.. Last night was Beautiful the food is of the best Standard. The Staff are So lovely, helpful and Polite. If you haven’t been here Add it to a bucket list it’s Lovely. I will Definitely be there again in the future! Thank you

We had the Sunday brunch and it was delicious. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the service was outstanding. A nice bonus was the roaring fire that added a cozy ambiance to the restaurant.

We visit the area regularly so I don't know how we've missed this place up until now. The waitresses were an absolute credit to themselves and the restaurant. Food was perfect and beautifully presented too. Prices very reasonable for the quality.

We had a three course Sunday lunch here while on holiday and it was excellent. Every course was really tasty and well presented, the portion sizes were perfect, and the staff were all very attentive yet inconspicuous. The bill for the meals plus drinks represented excellent value for such a quality meal. Recommended!

I have eaten at some very nice London restaurants over the years and this is up there with the best. See you again soon.

Heard good things about the food, sometimes thats a curse as often places then dont live up to the hype. But from the moment we arrived the whole experience was superb, of course you need good food to go with the hospitality, so we had Hake (11 out if ten) Belly Pork ( 12) and Welsh Black Fillet .. too good to score.. and the desserts were also to die for . Had cheesecake which was white chocolate orange.. could have eaten the whole thing... so all in all .. will we be going back.. a resounding Yes.. da iawn pawb
