I’ll add this place to my favourites list!! Why hadn’t we heard about this restaurant earlier, we’ve been coming to this area for years. Lovely looking restaurant, comfortable seating, excellent service and superb food; we couldn’t have asked for more.

The front of house staff were attentive. Such a shame its a long way from Nottingham otherwise both my husband and I would eat there every week.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogWe always enjoy the high standard of food at Y Sgwar. As we had 2 children with us yesterday, we booked Early Bird. As it costs 23.50 ( the same price as Sunday lunch ) we were disappointed with the quantity. The Lamb Roast was much smaller than the Sunday quantity with no side vegetables and my husband was still hungry as was I after the smallish Seabass. The Puddings were ample, however. Sorry to be disappointed.

We received a warm welcome and service by the team was very good, the food we received was tasty and hot which all aided to a great evening out with family and friends.

Y Sgwar – PorthmadogOn holiday in the area, we booked Y SGWAR to celebrate my birthday and it turned out to be one of the best ever. The restaurant is bright and comfortable, the service was excellent throughout but, above all, the food is glorious. From a varied menu we both chose scallops, hake with ratatouille and sauteed potatoes, and ended with a selection of Snowdonia cheeses. All were beautifully presented and to say delicious would truly be an understatement. To paraphrase Harry Callahan, Y Sgwar, you "Made My Day". Thank you.
