We booked at short notice for Sunday lunch and were very pleased with our decision. The meal was well presented and tasted as good as it looked. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We had not been for some years but will be retuning more often now that we have 'discovered' you again. Already recommending you to family and friends.

Fantastic food and experience. Booked a table a couple of weeks before for our 15th anniversary, asking for the vegan menu. When we arrived we were seated promptly and explained to the vegan menu itself wasn't available but there were still most of the vegan options available, and we were told exactly what we could have. To be fair, everything apart from the tofu steak was on the menu so we were happy. I had the pesto linguine and my partner had arancini for mains. We also had tomato bruschetta starter and each had chocolate torte pudding. I can say that every dish was 10/10. So fresh, beautifully presented and full of so much flavour. Can't fault Y Sgwar at all and we'll be back sooner than later. Highly recommend. Food and service impeccable, and the atmosphere was buzzing. Booking definitely advisable.

Absolutely loved Y Sgwar. Visited for lunch on NYE whilst staying in the area. I was attracted by the vegan options but had completely forgotten that it would be a Sunday and therefore the menu was different! However, the chef prepared a different starter and main for us - the most amazing vegetable wellington - without any fuss. The whole meal was delicious, and I just wish we'd been able to do the sticky toffee pudding justice! Service and atmosphere both great and will definitely return if in the area again.

Excellent Sunday dinner. Beautiful tender meat and good selection of vegetables, which were cooked perfectly. Plenty of staff who were very efficient. Pudding was amazing.

Would take this oppurtunity for the food that we had from the sgwar, the food is amazing, service is outstanding and i would reccomend everyone to go there.

Lovely Christmas lunch yesterday. Great food, lovely welcome, friendly staff. Have booked for New Year’s Day we enjoyed it so much.

First time for lunch. As previously, splendid on all counts. Wonderful atmosphere created in no small part by the brilliant staff. Pate and Sea Bass for me, turkey and Chocolate Orange cheesecake for him. Latte to follow, perhaps a small mince pie would be a nice seasonal touch with the after dinner coffee? That being said, most enjoyable and we have made a return booking for Christmas Eve.

Excellent food and service. A bit pricey for a usual meal out but for a special occasion well worthy it.

We went for my partners birthday, the food was amazing, the staff were all friendly and polite, and very knowledgeable. I found the wine complement the meal superbly. I give the experience a 10/10. Thank you for a great night.

Our meal was as excellent as always, and everything ticked all the boxes so thank you to all the team.

Decided to have a last minute treat and booked a table (at short notice) I ordered a rib eye steak, medium rare and my partner Helen had the sea bass … not for the first time the staff and the food exceeded expectations. Wonderful place, great staff and fantastic menu , highly recommended

We had our team office party here this weekend and a fabulous time was had by all! Food was fantastic and the Christmas treats on the table were a lovely touch. Amazing cocktails too. 4 of us dined at Y Sgwar in November and had the most fabulous three course meal. The quality of the food was excellent and very well prepared, the service was very friendly and efficient and the wine went down a treat. This restaurant never disappoints!!
