Always excellent food from starters to sweet menue ..we take friends who visit us always enjoy the food friendly staff and service , it is without a doubt our favourite place to eat ..

Excellent food, lovely atmosphere, would definitely recommend.

As always a friendly welcome and such a help when choosing food and wine options. The service is always excellent and the food was supherb. Its such value for money, especially the early bird menu they offer. Its always our first choice to visit any time and on special occasions.

The food was as good as always, great choice value. Will be back again when we next visit the area

Great little restaurant, with a varied and interesting menu. We were a mixed group of vegans, vegetarians, and meat eaters, and they were able to offer good options for all of us. Good quality food and excellent service.

Lovely night during Storm Agnes!..staff excellent..we were made to feel really welcome ..menu fabulous..food out of this world..my only criticism would be that stater and main were served too quickly..the meal felt rushed..

Our original selection cancelled on us so we picked Y Sgwar instead, how glad were we !! We had been primed by the taxi driver and the experience lived up to it's reputation. The host gave us an extremely warm reception and all the staff were very attentive. Food was delicious and unfortunately we didn't have enough room for desert, every plate was clean. Biggest compliment I can give is we would definitely book if we came back and would definitely recommend.

Lovely little restaurant with a big heart, amazing food and staff. Will definitely one to return to next time we are in the area.

3 adults had dinner at Y Sgwar on Tuesday and Wednesday this week . We all enjoyed our visits. The food was interesting and well presented ( fish, lamb and vegetable Wellington main courses , and prawn and Scallop starters). The Wellington was not special but other dishes were very good. Service was good , and we liked the ambience. We will definitely return on our next visits to NWales.

Yet again, Yolo & his "team", greeted us with a very warm welcome! They provided a consistently first class attentive service & our meals, as usual, were scrumptiously excellent! Y Sgwar never fails to provide a very exciting, "full-filling" experience!! DIOLCH PAWB

Awesome food, amazing service. Just perfect.

The whole meal was excellent thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Atmosphere had a nice buzz to it. Service preferable that waitress poured our wine first. Value for money a little pricey but worth every penny. Absolutely delicious one of the nicest meals I ever had. Would definitely recommend to others

We very much enjoyed our dinner on 23rd September. The lamb rump was generous and well cooked, dauphinoise potatoes and broccoli were perfect accompaniments. After enjoyable starters and the delicious lamb we had no room desserts.

We had a wonderful meal, our first problem was actually choosing a starter and main, spoilt for choice. We both had different choices for both and food was not only cooked to perfection but was very well presented. Portion sizes were perfect and we even found room for dessert. This was our first visit and we were on holiday but if we were local the restaurant would be a regular place for us to have an outstanding meal. Service was warm and friendly and we thought the price was spot on. We highly recommend with absolutely no hesitation.

5 of us enjoyed a fantastic evening this week with great food and exemplary staff. This is a real treat and highly recommended

At long last we made it to the restaurant and we weren’t disappointed! Excellent meal, great service and a relaxed atmosphere, we will return!

My new favourite restaurant. Beautiful setting, fantastic service and delicious food. Very good value considering standard of food. Can’t wait to come again. Best restaurant in North Wales in our experience! Thank you.
