This was our first visit, and we had an enjoyable Mothers Day lunch. We were booked for 2pm. We arrived a little early. You pay downstairs. The lady said £48… when it was actually £47.98, but hey ho! She didn’t introduce the restaurant or offer any guidance… so we just headed upstairs! A server took our receipt and pointed out our table. Since it was our first time… a little guidance might have been helpful… but I guess it’s self explanatory… get plate. Get food! I enjoyed the food. I’m vegetarian and was worried by some reviews… but I had plenty to eat! I opted for udon noodles, mushrooms, broccoli, tofu, chips, and a few slices of pizza. All very tasty. In fact, mushrooms were amazing! The carvery looked disappointing… potatoes and carrots seemed to be the extent of it! I’m not a curry fan… so I didn’t try this. I tried a little mac cheese, which was a bit bland. Pizza was nice, but all gone when I went for another slice! Puddings pretty good… loved the Eton mess! Cleanliness was good… except maybe a few spills by the puddings. Overall, I enjoyed the food. It was £23.99 per head… maybe a little pricey… but I feel I got my money’s worth! Service wasn’t great for friendliness. But I could see staff working hard to keep food topped up and areas clean. Overall… I was happy enough.

Been here a few times now normally it’s ok food usually an edible standard but we went there yesterday as a party of 7 for Mother’s Day and this will most definitely be the last time we ever go the food was watery I.e the curry’s was like meat in a puddle of sauce and tasted vial most the trays were empty had some chicken wings and thought there quite nice thought I’d go back and get more as was practically the only edible food in there and when I got more it was nothing like the first ones I had chicken was like slimey took one bite and was nearly sick I could only apologise to everyone at the table as got to of been one of the worse experiences with food I have ever had and after spending just over £150 I expect expected a lot better

The family has not been for a while. We felt the quality had dropped. Sauces were thin and barely had taste. Less fruit in Eton Mess than previously. Dishes were ok but lacking flavour punch. We possibly chose a time when some Dishes were nearly empty. Good to see Tepinyaki open, but choice poor. Otherwise ok. Ps: toilet doors still have locking issues on some, which was the same last summer. Not sorted!

Very good selection of different type of food. Very friendly and helpful staff. The price I think is was way too high or maybe if the drink would be included, it might be decent. Also, I paid way too much for my children 3 and 2 years old. Any child under 5 should be free. Will be nice if they would bring a glass of water to the table. I don’t think we’ll be coming back any soon.

Friendly staff loads to choose from it shame they don't do week day lunch anymore I think the price is a tad high I think it should be about 15 pounds per person or something like that

If you’re heading to Spoon World Buffet in Portsmouth, you’re definitely going to leave full, especially if you have a bit of a sweet tooth. It’s a fantastic spot for families because there are so many options for the kids, which takes the stress out of a night out. The main spread has plenty of chicken to go around, but it would be great to see them mix it up with more beef or lamb options just to keep things interesting. I also dipped into the sushi—which was actually really nice—though it was served a bit too cold and felt like it needed a few more varieties to choose from. The absolute highlight, though, has to be the dessert. The apple crumble and custard is pure comfort food, and getting to top off some crepes with sauce from the chocolate fountain was the perfect way to end the meal. It’s a solid choice for a casual feed, especially once you hit that dessert station.

We had a nice time. good food. Large selection of food. Most things were toped up quite quickly when running low. Wait staff were great at removing dirty plates. not so quick with anything from the bar, Bottles or glasses. However, we had pre-booked and the website says if you pre book you get 2 hours and walk ins only 1.5 hours. after we had been there for 1hour 20 mins the waiter came over and said you only have 10 mins left. When questioned he no no that is only for part bookings over 10 I questions this as that is not what the web site say he walked off and never came back. As it was we were don't anyway and left in under 1.5 hours. Also we wee directly below an air conditioning unit blowing very hot air the entire time. as you walk around the other areas seem to be ok. I did ask for it to be turned down and they said it would be, However it did not get any cooler.
