Very Overpriced, low quality food ingredients and the range of food seems to be much less than the last time I visited a year or so ago. Atmosphere wasn't great, music system seemed to have strange fault which was unpleasant to have to hear at times. The bar staff (a woman) seemed disinterested, no customer service given whatsoever. - In fact, she was quite rude.

Sadly it wasn’t a great experience. I presented my medical card stating I couldn’t eat an adult portion but told wasn’t accepted so had to pay full price! I only had a very small amount and that was unfortunately very dry and bland. Had to have a plate of fruit which some were on the turn. It was for my son’s birthday and we were disappointed

Queuing system when you have an autistic child was appalling. Booked in advance had email confirmation but greeter argued about whether we were booked and then the wait to get in was too long. Food was warm and some tasted dry or reheated. Will not be going again this is our 2nd time and both times were awful.

Lovely food, great service. Puddings where put away a bit quickly tho other than that Lovely evening

What an amazing way to finish our day in Portsmouth. Caught our 7pm sailing home in a total food coma! Spoons itself is a lovely clean restaurant and the staff are friendly and helpful! The food…well not sure where to start (same feeling when there) so much choice, all tasted lush and was cooked so perfectly! And pudding belly was fully satisfied with the coconut jelly and chocolate fountain! Defo can’t wait to come back - Thank you Spoons!

Disappointed, First time vising, got there at 7.30pm was seated quickly, minimal variety of food left mainly Chinese, Indian and fish sushi. No carvery, only sushi available seemed everything was being cleaned down. Went for sweet section to find that there was only ice cream as again it was being cleaned and closed. Was very disappointing as many people had said it was fantastic. Would not go again

Been to Spoon Portsmouth on a number of occasions and never disappointed. Lots to choose from and different dishes to try something new. The staff are fantastic and always a pleasure atmosphere.

Lunch on Sunday with friends all enjoyed the selection and quality of the food. The restaurant was very clean and well laid out. The Staff were very friendly and efficient. No problems on this visit will definitaly be going back

I wouldn’t recommend. I went there on a Thursday evening. Many trays were empty. No meat at the carvery. The soups area was completely closed. There was no meat at the grill counter, they were only grilling seafood. I had the crab and the squid, but the crab had a very bad rotten smell, so I didn’t touch anything. The sauces were either too salted or too sweet or both at the same time. The meat was dry and seemed to have stayed there for a very long time. Very very average (or rather on the lower side) taste. The only think that I enjoyed was the raw melon and the pancake. Happy that we didn’t get salmonella though.

As always a fantastic meal and Cirilo is a wonderful host.

A lovely restaurant to enjoy fab dining with all the family. Plenty to choose from and the money is worth it. The staff are very good too.

Place its nice and have lots of space.food looks good and was hot enough.i have tried quite a lot of stuff and some things were good some worste some better as anyone would expect.downside was no juice availeble for bottomless glass(only fizzy drinks that my son doesnt drink for some reason)

This is our 3rd time of coming and if it was the first I wouldn’t return unfortunately. It was a special occasion 18th birthday meal when we arrived we were greeted and told to look at the food before we decided to stay and eat or we could leave it was 7.30pm so couldn’t really book anything else, there was no discount given and the Chinese buffet area was very much lacking in the food we wanted. The Indian side was much better. The staff were very nice but wasn’t the experience that we all wanted it to be some of the guests we had had never been before and I told them it was a great place to eat so no one will be returning unfortunately. The fact the price was not changed due to there being a lot less was pretty bad to spent over £200 and was not worth that money.

Lovely food ,nice and clean restaurant. I recommend it, especially to those who like to eat a lot.

Food tasted fine, though only just warm, and we also didn’t receive the side dish we’d ordered. Main issue was lack of staff, though the guy who was working tried his best to keep all the plates spinning and was cheerful and helpful throughout. However, there was still a long wait to take the order.

came here for my birthday with a few of my mates and the food was a bit hit and miss really some off it was lovely absolutely brilliant but some of the dishes was quite cold but apart from that service was great
