oh yes pulci pizza
Pulci Pizza – Poulton-Le-FyldeWhat a refreshing change! At last a trendy pizza restaurant/cafe bar. The Pizza's are tasty, the atmosphere is relaxed but has a great atmosphere. I have recommended this to my friends who all agree this is what Poulton needed. Well done!
Pulci Pizza – Poulton-Le-FyldeThe best Italian in the area -- Pulcinella in Cleveleys -- has opened an outpost in Poulton. Yippee!! It's only tiny with five tables plus a window counter but they do great pizza here (to eat in or take out). Nice vibe too with jazzy tunes and family photos on the walls.
Pulci Pizza – Poulton-Le-FyldeMy wife and I ordered a takeaway (from Mews Thai) recently that included Beef with Sweet Basil but when we got it home we found that there was no Sweet Basil in it. We thought it was a one-off and ordered another takeaway a week later that included the same dish. We mentioned the fact that there was no Sweet Basil in the previous week's meal and they said that it came from Singapore and did not always arrive in time. So they had known that they did not have any but let us order it anyway. So as we collected the latest takeaway they assured us that Sweet Basil was included. But, again, when we got home we found that there was none. This place has really gone downhill lately. Go to Suda Thai in Carleton instead (the chef used to work at the Mews). Nicer staff, better food and cheaper prices.
Mews Thai – Poulton-Le-FyldeI attended a meal on Fri 20th May with ten other friends. The food was lovely and we have all eaten here with our parents in the past. However we felt uncomfortable as one member of staff told us that two of the party had to arrive within seven minutes or would not be allowed to dine. Other staff were continuously staring and mimicking us. Coming from a background of family restaurants this was inappropriate behaviour. All in all beautiful food and decor, but staff mined your manners.
Bistro Italia – Poulton-Le-FyldeWe went as a family to The Mews for the first time yesterday. We're vegetarian & had been impressed with the range of veggie food on their menu.It was a little hard to find but that's partly because we have never been to Poulton before & it is off a little alleyway. So,the bad points-the staff got one of our main dishes wrong & even after telling them,we still got the wrong dish(we ordered tofu in tamarind, but got mixed vegetables & then tofu vegetables after informing them again).I suppose it didn't matter too much as the food was excellent regardless. Our starters included spring rolls(really nice),mushroom satay (ok),spicy salad (my wife loved it) & noodles for the children(very nice). My wife & myself were very impressed by the tofu vegetables & the red curry which was delicately flavoured. Despite getting one order wrong,we otherwise could not fault the staff who were very polite, friendly, even after my 3 year old daughter dropped her coke whilst we sat initially on the low tables (perhaps next time we'll re-try them but without the kids). The bill was a bit confusing as we had arrived for the early bird offer, but because of ordering extra dishes, were charged the full amount. In all, this was irrelevant as the overall bill was still quite surprisingly low considering the amount we'd ordered. Will we go again? Most certainly.
Mews Thai – Poulton-Le-Fyldeexcellent service good variety of choice excellent quality food
The Lemon Tree Indian Restaurant – Poulton-Le-FyldeBeautiful food and excellent service in a relaxing atmosphere
Mews Thai – Poulton-Le-FyldeThe best Indian in Poulton by far. Service is second to none. Attentive staff and a menu more diverse than anything I've seen before. All the food is excellent.
The Lemon Tree Indian Restaurant – Poulton-Le-FyldeWe are regular take-away customers and we have always had an excellent meal. The Chicken and Cashew Nuts is fantastic.
Suda Thai Cuisine – Poulton-Le-FyldeStaff was nice but food was as awful as it was when it was Papas....Sorry but this is NOT Italian food at it's best. Same result as Papas, never again.
Bistro Italia – Poulton-Le-FyldeSat down for Friday dinner at a dirty table and had to ask the waitress to clean it as she was oblivious. Amongst other items we ordered poached salmon and prawns on ciabatta without lemon mayo and a side order of chips. She didn't write the order down intimating confidence. I received a warm poached salmon with dill sauce on soft white bap. The chips were old and cold. My partner ordered a chicken dish and the chicken must have died of old age as she was unable to cut it. We eat here fairly often and have had satisfactory meals in the past. Of course we didn't complain being British and maybe we should have but surely the staff should a) give the kitchen the correct order and b) the chef should check the quality of his food before sending it out. This was poor!
Cube Wine Bar – Poulton-Le-FyldeLovely Place beautiful food :-)
Bistro Italia – Poulton-Le-FyldeSo the MAYA Indian Restaurant and Take Away, We waited an hour without any contact. A drink reluctantly offered at the 40 min Mark. The food was varied. They forgot to pack one starter. The foo wasn't hot just warm. The korma had a kick to it which was nice but the byriani wasn't at all spicy. the garlic naan was garlic absent. Verdict 2/5. Will avoid due to long waiting times and poor food standards.
Maya – Poulton-Le-Fyldethe food was not very tasty or spicy and the rice was the worst i(i had to chop and break it up on my plate)have ever seen or tasted it was in big sticky clumps and not the slightest bit fluffy . the service was also poor i had to wait 10-15 minutes after the last of my party had been served. i had not been to eat here for 5 years as it was a bad experience last time and i was hoping it had changed
Thai by Night – Poulton-Le-FyldeHad an exceptional meal here last night and I think Suda is currently turning out the best Thai food on the Fylde Coast. I like the vibe here too -- casual, modern and not overly ethnic. We sat on the stools in the window which was pleasant and watched the world go by. A flat and out-of-date Budweiser was replaced with a Singha and this and all the other drinks subsequently removed from the bill. A nice touch and we will most certainly be back.
Suda Thai Cuisine – Poulton-Le-Fyldei would fully recommend this Restaurant, a party of 8 of us dined there and a wonderful time and meal. The staff very friendly and attentive to our requests. We will be visiting again this week and looking forward to it.
Bistro Italia – Poulton-Le-FyldeFood is always great. Popular so would advise you book in advance. From experience, it's likely you will be rushed along if you are in a large party. Also, one particularly bad experience when a friend didn't go off the set menu, but sampled a mouthful from my plate, and a waitress shouted at her!
