Cornmill, The – Poulton-Le-FyldeFirst visit to the restaurant and will certainly be returning. Lovely to visit a restaurant where welcomed and seen to efficiently. Excellent food, freshly prepared, absolutely delicious and excellent value. Superb, thank you.
Thai by Night – Poulton-Le-FyldeI certainly would NOT recommend Gennars restaurant. A party of us visited an Christmas Eve 2007. We were crammed in on 2 very small tables. The place was almost deserted and there was not ONE special on the board. One starter had to be sent back due to a dirty bowl. The main courses although well presented were either smothered in a very rich artificial tasting sauce or a very watery bland sauce. The sweets came out of the freezer. The coffee was good. Very disappointing. We will not be going back. All in all a very run of the mill Italian with an old fashioned menu . Gordon Ramsey would have disapproved.
Dom’s Italian – Poulton-Le-Fyldeas someone said below, if you're looking for mouthwatering food and a quiet meal - head to a smaller chinese, if you're with a large party and are looking to stuff yourself - this is the place to go!
China Red – Poulton-Le-FyldeFab Fab. Visited many times and never disappointed.
Ricos Italian Restaurant – Poulton-Le-Fylde12/12/07 MY PARTNER IS VEGETARIAN AND ORDERED THE CALZONE (VEGGIE OPTION STATED ON MENU)WHICH INCLUDED THE CHOICE OF 2 TOPPINGS. WHEN THE FOOD ARRIVED, THERE WAS A BOLOGNESE SAUCE ON THE CALZONE. THE WAITER TOOK IT BACK TO THE KITCHEN AND RETURNED WITH THE SAUCE SCRAPED OFF AND A TOMATO SAUCE IN ITS PLACE. YOU COULD STILL SEE BITS OF THE MEAT FROM THE BOLOGNESE SAUCE. VERY RELUCTANTLY, THE WAITER TOOK IT BACK AND A NEW ONE BROUGHT. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
Dom’s Italian – Poulton-Le-FyldeFor only two years is been open Gennars has very strong base service and food are excellent, for sure is the place to go to experience a night like we had.
Dom’s Italian – Poulton-Le-Fyldei went with 3 friends on a Tuesday night for a works meal and i enjoyed my visit to this restaurant ....the food was great and the atmosphere of the place felt good. the service of the two young waiters was grand !-it was nice to see people enjoying there job ! - this place was top-notch !
Thai by Night – Poulton-Le-FyldeWe took 22 people for a Christmas celebration. The food was acceptable, although not a gourmet experience, however at the price of £17-50 per head very acceptable. We were seated in the private room upstairs which seemed to cause problems with the speed of service. By the time the vegetables for the main course had arrived many peoples food was cold. Drinks service for the room was poor. We ordered two glasses of red and a pint of lager - one glass of red and the lager arrived - ten minutes later the other glass of red had not arrived. On going to the bar to ask where it was I was greeted by the Chef/Patron Mr Tolley who was in his whites lounging at the bar. On stating that the bar service was poor he told me, 'we're doing our best'. When I told him that his best was obviously not good enough he suggested that I 'shove it, sideways'. I would find it impossible to recommend this restaurant to anyone, and would suggest to Mr Tolley that he should take a course in 'Customer Care' at the first opportunity.
even though i did enjoy my choice of meal i found it most expensive compared to tesco cafe. i did not enjoy my drinks as the service was poor. i am not taking my wife there again.
High Cross – Poulton-Le-FyldeWhen we walked in i thought it was good to see a few people knocking about on a Monday night. I took my wife for her birthday, she ordered goats cheese and i had duck confit both starters were excellent. The main courses however were a bit of a let down, whilst my steak was cooked perfectly it was drowning in the sauce and the wifes chicken was under that sauce somewhere but they were tasty. The pinot grigio was well chilled and a rather splendid drop. We didnt order dessert but Gennar brought one with a candle in it for wife, nice touch. All in all it was a good evening and that balancing menus on noses had me amused. Will I go back? Yes, of course especially with the little ones once they start opening at lunch times.
Dom’s Italian – Poulton-Le-Fylde4 of us went for a meal today. Service and food was good. The salad I'm told was boring, but everyone's mains were fine, and the restaurant looks great, and isn't smoky anymore. I will be going back.
Cube Wine Bar – Poulton-Le-FyldeWe eat out a lot and this is probably the best Italian restaurant in Poulton if not on the Fylde Coast. The food and service is excellent, the fillet steaks are fantastic but if you want traditional Italian the pastas and pizzas are equally as good. A Fantastic atmosphere. We can't get enough of this place. Thanks Gennar and the team! 21.10.07

Cube Wine Bar – Poulton-Le-FyldeBad......
Ricos Italian Restaurant – Poulton-Le-Fyldewe visited Gennars for a meal, we were very disappointed with the service food and the attitude of the staff! they were not interested if they had not seen you in there before. would not recommended at all!
Dom’s Italian – Poulton-Le-FyldeI have never had such bad service as I have from the staff and the manager of this restaurant. Firstly we received a diet coke which was flat and replaced by another which was also flat. When i complained about this I was told that everyones was the same. Then when the main course came out my partners sweet and sour chicken was tiny. about four fork fulls in fact. When I complained about this I was told it was on the specials menu and therefore a small portion. It was in fact less than half the size of mine. When The manager then said the portion was fine we just thought it was small because my partner is pregnant and 'eating for two'. finally they tried to over charge us. If you like tiny portions and being insulted by restaurant managers then this is the place for you, if not, then give china red a miss, I know I will never go back.
