The Ginger Bistro – Preston
Preston in Lancashire is a cosmopolitan city located on the River Ribble and is also the home of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). Many restaurants and food pubs can be found in the city centre and its suburbs.
On behalf of a group of 8 who ate here I would like to say "Thank You" for providing a good menu, good service, and excellent food.
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonFood, service & ambience excellent! My husband had the 3 course lunch menu, which was fantastic value for money and did not suffer from any drop in standard from the normal menu. My steak Canadian was cooked to perfection and served with the best chunky chips in Lancashire. Washed down with a lovely glass of wine (for me) and a Spanish beer (for him), it was the perfect venue for Friday lunch on a rare day off together. We will be returning for our next one :-)!
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonFirst visit since the huge new bar-lounge was added in front. Very impressive and it was needed too as the old bar did tend to get a bit crowded. Great atmosphere as always and a wide choice of both food and wine. The fact that this place is huge, well off the beaten track and always packed tells you all you need to know really.
Italian Orchard – PrestonMy husband 2 friends and I ate at the Ginger Bistro Friday 18th October and the food was amazing. Only problem was the beef bourguignon my husband had which he said was delicious was a small portion for a man. We will be returning very soon.
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonThe food was superb. We both had different chicken dishes and they were both really good. We also had an Elton mess , coffee and wine and all were equally as good. Will definitely go back soon.
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonGreat pub, kids love the paly area too. Beer food and kids occupied, what's not to like!
The Stags Head – PrestonFirst time visiting the ginger bistro on Friday night. We were welcomed on arrival and taken to a lovely booth to sit. The waiter recommended the draft lager for my dad which he enjoyed. When choosing the mains my husband couldn’t decide and again the waiter recommended the ribs, one of his choices. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals!
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonAbsolutely amazing food. Beautifully presented. Lovely decoration and lighting inside. The service was very good, so friendly, couldn't do enough for us. I will definitely be coming here again. Too cheap! £15 for 2 main course, a starter and drink! Try the Curried Lamb Samosas. It was thriving?
The Damascus – PrestonEverything was good except the broccoli on my plate was raw
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonAn excellent, innovative and beautifully presented meal in relaxed and informal surrounds. Loved the black pudding with polenta, and my friend said her fish stew was delicious. Only regret was not having room for dessert. Maybe next time...along with the cocktails!!
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonVisited here again and the food , service atmosphere were brilliant . We used meerkat and got the discount without any problem . Can’t wait to go again
Slice Of Sicily – PrestonMy wife and I have visited several times, both at lunch and evening time. On each occasion the ambience, service and food have been excellent. Based on our experiences, I worked with Simon who put together a superb multi-choice 3-course evening meal, plus introductory drink (again with options) at a very competitive price for a group of 21 Rotarians. Having pre-ordered each individual meal, the evening went like clockwork with attentive and co-ordinated service, superbly cooked and presented meals and a very happy group of people. Thank you Soji, Simon and the Team for giving us a wonderful evening.
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonSaturday was our 3rd visit to the Ginger Bistro. Excellent meal. We had the special which was full rack of ribs for 2 people for £22. It was amazing! Best ribs I’ve ever had. We were with another couple who also opted for the ribs special. We all struggled to finish it but refused to leave any as it was so good. The service was yet again excellent, the wine very good and we managed to share a creme brûlée as it would have been rude not to. We look forward to our next visit soon.
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonThis was our third visit to the Ginger Bistro and once again thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Recommended!!!
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonBooked for 4 - on line booking was a real plus! I had the burger - I was disappointed - not because the burger was bad (it was very good) - but because the other 3 had lovely looking meals so I should have gone beyond my normal choices. My wife had mozzarella chicken- large and fantastic. My mother had a beautiful (and huge) fish pie, and her friend had the beef bourginon which also looked good. Starters were very nice ( I had deep fried Camembert) but felt the deserts were not good value for money. Staff were efficient and very friendly. Overall a really good meal and atmosphere. Would thoroughly recommend. This will be a 5 on trip advisor from me (in spite of no pie on menu!)
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonGood atmosphere and nice food :)
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonFiona and I enjoyed our first dinner at the Ginger Bistro last Friday evening. We felt the food and service was excellent and equally the wine list had some interesting selections (good job). Our only comment would be that the acoustics resulted in a rather "noisy" ambiance -- buzzy is great but it was a little more than that -- not helped by the couple at the adjacent table having a rather heated discussion and managing to up heave & smash their water jug on the floor. (Bit hard to manage customers like them !!! ). Definitely will return when we are next in Preston
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonHad seen the reviews on trip advisor and had to give it a try. Cocktails were excellent, the black pudding Benedict starter was amazing. Loved the main courses and the steak was perfectly cooked, and the fish pie was to die for. Can't wait to go back!
