We went recently for a work lunch - all the food was delicious! Everyone was particularly complimentary about the salads!

Bread and Butter – PrestonOne of the best breakfast meals I have had in a long time. Excellant service and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend this little gem in penwortham, one place I will definatly return to.
Bread and Butter – PrestonBooked a table for lunch. Was greeted warmly and showed straight to our table. A few minutes later the waitress came and took our order. It arrived in good time and was delicious.
Bread and Butter – PrestonMy family and I enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch yesterday to celebrate my birthday. The food was lovely, the service was great and we all had the most lovely, enjoyable meal. The roast beef comes pink but I asked for mine to be well done and it was perfect and very tender.
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonHaven’t been to the Plough at Eaves for a while but unfortunately the meal wasn’t great four of the party said there food was ok but two of the party had fish pie and the chef forgot the fish I only had five very small prawns and loads of mashed potatoes the grated cheese on top was good but the clue is in the name fish , the place itself is ready for a face lift and the flag floors a good scrub, sorry but wouldn’t recommend it,
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonWe discovered that the restaurant at the local Premier Inn had closed so The pub, about ten minutes away was one of the local options. Lovely historica country pub with an excellent selection of food available either from a bar menu or full sit down restaurant. We tried the bar menu and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonThis is one of my parents favourite places, spent the afternoon there celebrating my Dads birthday. My Dad enjoyed several pints of the Ploughs finest Thwaites Amber brew….
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonReally good food, accommodated really well to celiac.
Bread and Butter – PrestonLovely pub been coming for years and really enjoyed meal yesterday afternoon. Only one thing as a vegetarian there is only one option , the cheese pie, and unfortunately you had run out therefore only had a starter, which was very tasty. My friend had the roast and said it was excellent. Staff were lovely and friendly. We will be back.

Maxy Farm Pantry & Restaurant – PrestonFantastic food as always
Bread and Butter – PrestonVery pleasant venue with extremely pleasant staff. We only had a teacake and a drink. ( to be totally truthful have had better teacakes than those) but we had an enjoyable time and would definitely come again.
The Barn – PrestonAbsolutely spot on as always. Great food, great staff and great vibes. Really appreciate having such a top spot in the area and so happy it's back in safe hands with the best management again. Massive thanks to you all!
Maxy Farm Pantry & Restaurant – PrestonAbsolutely fantastic from start to finish. We returned back to celebrate our marriage on 21st May 2026 with friends and family after having our 1st date here 43yrs ago. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel comfortable throughout our visit. The atmosphere was lovely and we will definitely be returning. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quaint pub with excellent food and service. Thank you to the chef and everyone involved.

Bread and Butter – PrestonThere were five of us, and we all had different dishes for lunch. We were all impressed by the quality and quantity of the food. Service was very good too.
Bread and Butter – PrestonFood is always excellent here and would recommend highly. Staff always polite and attentive. Specials are excellent value and weeknights tend to be quieter which is what I prefer.
