Bread and Butter – Preston
Preston in Lancashire is a cosmopolitan city located on the River Ribble and is also the home of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). Many restaurants and food pubs can be found in the city centre and its suburbs.

Bread and Butter – PrestonFood is always excellent here and would recommend highly. Staff always polite and attentive. Specials are excellent value and weeknights tend to be quieter which is what I prefer.
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonFood was excellent value for money and a generous portion. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend.
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonThis was the second visit I’d had and I brought a new friend after coming previously with another friend so was hoping it was just as good as last time… we were not disappointed! The food was amazing and the portion sizes are huge! I had Chicken Caesar Salad and Truffle Fries and they are definitely some of the yummiest I’ve had. ALWAYS come here with an empty stomach and don’t be ashamed to ask to take your leftovers home!! The staff are also really lovely, helpful and polite. Absolutely my new fave place for lunch!
Bread and Butter – PrestonWill not go again. Booked a Saturday afternoon late lunch. Only tables offered were in the bar, NOT in the restaurant. Went to the Resturant but was asked to sit in the bar which was uncomfortable and noisy. Food took nearly an hour to come, They just had a big order but nobody told us this when we arrived or ordered - had to ask a couple of times to find out. Owner/ manager was clearly there but didn’t speak to us as new customers or to let us know there were problems getting orders out, but spoke regularly to the locals (who ruined the dining atmosphere by sitting at the bar winging and moaning loudly). Food was average at best, plates not cleared so we asked to pay and were just shown the bill and not asked how the experience was. So, overall we did not enjoy it and definitely would not go again.
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonI've always enjoyed my visits to Bread and Butter the staff are friendly and efficient the food is freshly cooked and always delicious well worth a visit.
Bread and Butter – PrestonAlways a lovely welcome and really enjoyed the meal. Loved the Brisket, chilli and cheese pie... very tasty. Great service . Always recommend to others.
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonYet again another lovely meal, we came for the pasta and pizza deal and it didn’t disappoint. Great food, staff and prices, will definitely be back
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonWent to try out their pizza/ pasta evening, tuesday 12th May. Small menu but only £6.95 for the pizza or pasta on it. Food was very nice indeed. We did have to wait a while, about 40 mins, which I didn't expect for pizza and pasta, but staff were very nice and friendly.
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonHad a booked early breakfast at 9.30 a.m.. On a tight schedule but opened on time and ready for us. We had great, well cooked English breakfasts and coffee's. The only issue for us was that only smoked bacon was offered. Substituted with really nice sausage. Overall, very good despite being a bit pricey for small breakfasts for two at £33.00. Would definitely consider going again when in the area again.
Bread and Butter – PrestonWe’ve often struggled to find a Sunday roast that truly delivers across the board, there’s usually something that falls short. But I have to say, Bread & Butter absolutely gets it right in every way. Everything was spot on, the quality of the meat, perfectly cooked tasty vegetables, crispy roast potatoes, and even the gravy was excellent. It’s rare to find a place where every element is this well done. On top of that, the service was warm, friendly and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Compliments to the chef and the whole team - thank you for such an enjoyable meal. We’ll definitely be back.
Bread and Butter – PrestonWe went for Sunday Lunch and the food was very good; fresh and well cooked. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. We'll definitely be returning.
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonWe took friends out for Sunday lunch at The Plough as I wanted to support a local business and couldn't fault it. Friendly attentive service and excellent food. Thank you!
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonEleven of us enjoyed meals at the Plough at Eves on Sunday. We had to pre book our main meals due to the number of us. The food was piping hot and plentiful. It was one of the best roast dinners I have had in a long time and the rest of the party all said how tasty the food was. Must also say the staff were friendly and definitely looked after us too. We would recommend this pub and visit again.
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonLovely atmosphere. Staff friendly and delicious food at a reasonable price.
