Sunday lunch was excellent.
Maxy Farm Pantry & Restaurant – PrestonMy booking was for Easter Sunday which had a set Easter menu of 2 or 3 courses only. I had seen the menu on their fb but didn’t realise I couldn’t order a main only - they told me when I didn’t order a starter. Having eaten a roast dinner here previously, I knew I wouldn’t manage 2/3 courses so the waitress gave us the option to take out desserts home which was appreciated. We both chose the herb crusted lamb leg with no extras and was surprised when we weren’t asked how we wanted the meat ie rare, medium rare, well done etc. I was quite disappointed with the meat as they were very thin slices of lamb that had thick lines of fat. It was well done when my preference is rare and I thought I’d get “chunks” rather than slices that included the herb crust but that was nowhere to be seen. It tasted okay but I left most due to the fat/taste not to my liking. The rest of the meal was lovely, there were whimsical Easter sticks added which was cute. The Yorkshire pudding is the showstopper - tall, crunchy and fluffy. The vegetables were cooked nicely and roasties were okay but a little soggy as placed inside the mash which I thought a little odd. The staff were/have always been lovely; very friendly, welcoming and professional. The decorations for Easter were subtle but classy and looked really nice. We decided to take our dessert home as we were both full - we picked the Easter brownie with mini eggs which were nice. Overall, I think for the price we paid for 2 courses it was a little underwhelming because of the lamb meat issue but it wouldn’t stop us returning as we still enjoyed our meal. It’s a lovely country pub/restaurant and the staff are great.
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonGreat country pub brilliant food , warm welcome thanks for a lovely family meal for 5
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonWe went for Sunday lunch and the food was superb. I honestly couldn’t fault anything and I am usually quite fussy. The portion size was really good, I couldn’t finish the whole plate even though I wanted to! The service was good and there was a good choice of drinks. We will definitely be back soon.
Bread and Butter – PrestonWe booked a large table for my Grandma's 90th and sent the pre order in beforehand. The food was superb, thanks Scott! And the way we where looked after by Macy was also excellent. Thank you for a great meal and for making my grandmas 90th a special occasion

Bread and Butter – PrestonWent for my birthday on a Sunday evening at 6pm. Seated promptly, and drinks order was taken shortly after. I am gluten free, and the staff really knew their stuff and were very accommodating. Sunday Roast was amazing, the best I'd ever tasted and the pea and ham soup for starters has so much flavour it was delicious. I would highly recommend Bread and Butter. Staff were so friendly and welcoming, I will definitely be back soon.

Bread and Butter – PrestonWent for Mothers Day with wife, 2 daughters and grandmother. Lovely meal, with pleasant service and friendly atmosphere. The only problem was we were charged for a 3 course meal, rather than the 2 course meal we had; only discovering on the M6 on the way to Lancaster. Without this mishap, we would have scored the service and value higher !
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonWe haven’t been for a number of years, but heard that the pub was back open and thriving. We visited for Mother’s Day and the service from start to finish was excellent. We were welcomed as we entered the restaurant , the staff were super friendly and the food was amazing. The small touches made a huge difference, petals on the table, daffodils for all the mums, first class all round.
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonSo pleased Maxy Farm is open for business again, the food is excellent and the service is superb. The staff are always very friendly and attentive. Most recently visited as a last minute Mother's Day treat and it didn't disappoint!!
Maxy Farm Pantry & Restaurant – PrestonWe all enjoyed our meals together at the plough, really made to feel special as we celebrated my son’s special birthday! A group of 14 adults 1 child, we were all comfortably seated on a long table near the bar and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The food had been pre ordered due to the size of the group, when the food arrived it looked amazing and very generous portions as well. Everyone in the party enjoyed the food, all in all excellent food and service!
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonAmazing tapas; delicious. Lovely staff. Would definitely recommend it and we hope to go again soon
