Preston in Lancashire is a cosmopolitan city located on the River Ribble and is also the home of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). Many restaurants and food pubs can be found in the city centre and its suburbs.
As ever, excellent in all respects! The food, both starters and mains, was superb - hot tasty and plentiful. It is also worth mentioning the staff as they are always welcoming, yet relaxed with a sense of humour. Worth every penny!
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonI have enjoyed a few meals at the Ginger Bistro and have never been disappointed. The last occasion on the 26th August was no exception - the food was delicious and the service was attentive and friendly. We went at the busy tea-time period and the food was brought quickly and the staff were prompt in taking our orders, bringing our food and then noticing when we had finished. Love this place and will be back very soon!

Wings & Beer Co – PrestonGood food, this was the first time we'd eaten in, we used the delivery service during lockdown and loved it. Gutted that pickle fries are no longer an option, the restaurant is nice, service very slow though, not sure what was going on, no food came out for anyone for about 30 minutes, loads of waiting on staff hanging around chatting as they were waiting for food to serve.

Maxy Farm Pantry & Restaurant – PrestonEverything was great. The staff amended a meal to suit dietary needs and provided an off menu meal for a fussy 3 year old. Crayons etc were provided for the kid and nobody stressed when he decorated the booth with stickers. The food itself was perfect. Meatball linguine and mushroom risotto were very good.

Wings & Beer Co – PrestonWas a little disappointed our table wasn’t ready. The waitress poured our bottle of wine and didn’t ask if we would like to try it. We sat outside till the table was ready. My husband’s starter was over cooked, they replaced it and said we don’t need to pay. But we did pay for it, we insisted. My veg was cold and almost raw. Overall after all the good things I was disappointed.
