Really enjoyed our lunch at The Whitchaff. Delicious food as usual although coffee was a little disappointing.. Would highly recommend for food quality and ambiance.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallWe had a fabulous family meal for Sunday lunch at the Whitchaff! Considering there were 15 of us, the food came out all together and it was delicious! All of the staff we dealt with, both during the booking process and on the day, were so friendly and helpful. It was an absolute pleasure - thank you!
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallA Saturday afternoon visit instead of our usual Sunday outing but the food standard, quality and quantity was the same. Most tables were occupied ,some large family, so service was slower as expected but nothing excessive or worrying. When delivered the food was all very appealing and really tasty, with great portion sizes perfect for a wet afternoon, but just about left room for the small pudding & coffee offer. Competitive prices and the food standards make this always a favourite for a repeat visit.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallFantastic from start to finish. Service was just perfect, just enough interaction and chat, without it feeling too much. Food was absolutely fantastic, the special of scallops was to die for! The chocolate orange dessert cocktail was so tasty. Will definitely be back!
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallOur meal on Saturday evening was absolutely delicious, great company and staff . Will definitely visit again
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallWe have visited a few times and always been impressed but when we visited 6/12, the food and service was really poor and nothing like what our previous visits had been like. We had to ask for cutlery after the dishes were served. My daughter’s fiancé had a dish that looked and tasted very bland. For the amount of money being charged, it was very poor. Not sure if it’s changed hands recently or not? There appeared to be plenty of young staff around but appeared to not know what they were doing. Don’t think we will return again, there’s so many other excellent eating places around.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallTurkey dinner was superb, but does need a yorkshire pudding . (I'm from the north east) we have pud with dinners. Your staff are a treasure so kind and welcoming. Pay them more. We always enjoy lunch with you ,many thanks!!
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallLovely place, good atmosphere. Staff friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent, had a bit of a wait for it to arrive, but the wait was worth it. A little pricey but for top notch food we couldn't complain. Will definitely return.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallExcellent food and friendly prompt service. I am always irritated by the offer of Pepsi, when I ask for Coke - they are NOT the same and any pub or restaurant should offer both. Nobody ever asks for Bacardi and Pepsi, they ask for Bacardi and Coke! I ask for Coke, but then have to choose something else because the management have decided to offer only Pepsi. Or maybe Pepsi have done a shady deal to force the pub to accept their product. This is unfair competition and should be abolished.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallLove coming here, the food is delicious especially the steak and Stilton pie, There is a great menue choice, the bakewell tart is gorgeous. The staff are very friendly and it's a atmosphere.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallWe had a voucher that needed spending so headed over for lunch midweek. Tapas always suggests more food is needed but we found the quantities more than satisfactory and of highest quality. Michele and the staff are amazing and we can’t wait to go back very soon.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallBooked a table online two weeks prior to visit and specifically asked for a table in the bar area. When got there (only 2 of us) we were seated in the restaurant but the bar area was not busy? Ordered steak and stilton pie which i have had numerous times and always enjoyed. On this occasion the mash and veg were only lukewarm. As they were short staffed i didn't send back as waiters/waitresses were thin on the ground and by the time they would have heated it up my friend would have finished her meal. Did mention it to waitress when she came to collect plates just to be told she would mention it to the chef. Had to go and track down staff to order a coffee and then again later to ask for the bill. A disappointing visit which will make me reluctant to return anytime soon.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallReally helpful and attentive waitress and chef for planning ahead for allergies. We went for the 3 for £20 lunchtime deal and we’re impressed by the quality and taste of the tapas! I’ve never had tenderstem broccoli so fresh and flavourful. Thank you so much, can’t wait to visit again.
