Had a very enjoyable Christmas lunch here this week with a friend. Fish pie was delicious. Atmosphere was nice and cosy (maybe could've been slightly warmer but it had just opened for lunch) and the service and food were excellent. Also, the staff were all friendly which made a huge difference. Coffee could've been stronger/better quality. I had another meal here a few weeks prior in the evening and the pub was literally shut up around us. The one member of staff left clearly wanted to go home and after turning off the music and lights asked us to leave as she was shutting up. I appreciate it was 10pm but a slightly more polite approach would've been appreciated.

We pre-booked a table for two for Friday lunchtime. We were treated by a friendly member of staff who explained the small plates system and how many to order. We ordered five different dishes, all of which were absolutely superb and arrived promptly. We followed that with coffee and desserts (the tiramisu is amazing!). All in all, it was a fantastic meal and we will definitely be returning soon.

Went on a Friday afternoon with friends. Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Would not hesitate to recommend to all my friends.

We came for a works gathering on Saturday night. This was the 2nd year after such a good time last year. Well it was absolutely brilliant the food was out of this world and the staff were fantastic. We sat upstairs and the atmosphere was ace. A special thank you to the staff, it is often difficult with a table of 10. They absolutely smashed it and the cocktails were beautiful. We will be back. This has got to be one of the best places to eat in Rossendale at the moment. The steak and Stilton pie is to die for.

Absolutely STUNNING little place to go and eat. The service is always great and the food is spot on. Very decent portions for the money too. Recently took my mum and nana and they were sharing a main and, without asking, they bought it out split over two plates for them. It really is the little things.

I asked whether the veggie satay had mushrooms ( I’m not allergic but they upset my stomach) and was told it hadn’t, when it arrived it contained mushrooms, the waitress was very apologetic, she took it away and they quickly made a fresh one without mushrooms. It was delicious and they took it off the bill. We all make mistakes, it’s how they’re dealt with that matters, so I was quite happy. We were asked if we had any allergies so hopefully if that had been the case the chef would have been informed

I would like to thank the staff for being so attentive. The atmosphere and the food was great. We will certainly be back.

Once again a fabulous night of a great atmosphere, stunning food and wonderful service. We are never disappointed when we come here to eat, and our friends were blown away. Value as always is great... keep it up.

Lovely food and service totally spoilt by a screaming child whose parents were totally uninterested in calming. Was too late for a child that age to be in a public place, ended up running around the bar and restaurant. Totally spoilt a date night with partner. Restaurants after 8pm should not ge for toddlers who should be in bed.
