Visited on Saturday evening for my daughters birthday, Food was great service was good but the noise level was just horrendous, the waiter had to shout to us and we had to shout back to place our order ! We would not go back on a Saturday evening but if we did try again it would maybe a lunchtime….. ?
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallThis was our first visit and we were very impressed once we had found it! We chose four tapas dishes to share for lunch which were all very well presented and tasty . We then managed to squeeze in a lovely ricotta and nutella canoli with coffee . There was a lovely ambience inside the restaurant and the staff were excellent .

Was very quiet and We'd ask for a table in the restaurant where only one other table (large) was filled. Could do without the little toddlers running about the restaurant from the bar every two minutes though. Not the staff’s fault. I’m sure they were as annoyed as we were. Just feckless parents with no control over their children.

As it was national pie week, all six of us had pie of some sort - fish pie, steak and stilton pie or steak pie, all with came with veg. One of our party asked for their accompanying pepper mash to be replaced with mustard mash and this was absolutely no problem. All the meals were delish. Three of us enjoyed a dessert too, but the others were full up. The food offerings at the Whitchaff are consistently good - you really can't go wrong here.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallLovely meal here last week. The place itself is fantastic decor and layout-wise. Service was excellent and the food was top quality and really varied. We went for the recommended 5 dishes and initially thought we might have under ordered but we needn’t have worried the amounts were perfect and left just enough room for a delicious shared dessert! Would recommend highly and would definitely come back again.
