Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Food was really nice and would return.

Excellent carvery ,good selection of vegetables pleasant staff. My only gripe is that over the Mothering Sunday weekend, I visited on Saturday they had hiked the prices up by £5 per carvery and if you wanted Lamb there was another supplement of £3.25 which I thought was a bit much especially as it wasn’t the Sunday. Other than that very pleased.

Had lovely carvery recently generous portion of meats and great selection of veggies, no room for a pud but definitely recommend you come and try for yourselves.

Came here yesterday 27/3/25, there were 9 of us 5 adults 4 children, food was very nice plenty of vegetables meat cooked lovely, children's meals came out before ours so very nice night

We are in the middle of a renovation and have no kitchen - I’m very fussy with my carvery - a Northern lass that takes Sunday dinner seriously! Have to say one of the best I have had - will definitely go again

The food is always amazing and hot. The lamb is just gorgeous and you can’t get it at many carverys Staff are very accommodating

Lovely carvery, tasty and piping hot, lots of choice of vegetables and tasty roasties, huge Yorkshire puddings and friendly staff, would definitely recommend for a heart meal in lovely surroundings

Great carvery! The meat was well cooked, the portion sizes were more than enough and there was a vast array of vegetables available. Great value for money, will definitely be visiting again soon

Excellent friendly staff. Lovely inside and out. Cracking family venue young and old. Carvey choice is very good and hot. Fantastic selection of veg and others. Creamy garlic potatoes are to die for.

Had a lovely, hot, relaxed meal with friends. Nothing rushed or too much trouble.

I've been coming to 'The Goose' for around 20 years, since it was £3.25 and came with soup and a piece of bread. Still good value for money, still the best yorkshire puds in the land, still decent meats, red cabbage a great variety of veg and gravy like it should be! Only two mishaps in that 20 years, once the beef was tough and once the gravy was made by a newbie who didn't understand that gravy should be like the savoury version of liquid chocolate! Not a bad record...

Helpful friendly staff. Food hot well cooked and presented. I had taken friends who had never eaten at Goose before. Both enjoyed tge meal. Although not keen on nutroast. Thought it tasted just like stuffing
