such a lovely setting - i enjoyed a walk along the riverbanks to stumble upon this fabulous restaurant. your home comforts menu is exactly that and even the evening menu boasts a wide choice -even for veggies! unbelievable prices too. we will be back!!

Austins is full of surprises, they have excellent and very helpful staff along with a Amazing NEW menu which has a large variety of courses and to top this off it is in a unique location! I shall look forward to coming to you again in the cricket season! Thanks

WHAT A FIND!! went after a friend recommended this little gem of a restaurant. the staff are so pleasant and make you feel really at home- we only went in for a coffee and ended up staying all afternoon then went along the park to walk it off - just lovely and great to have such a place on my doorstep.

What a unique locations. Great menu called the Home Comforts. It is exactly that. Good choice of beers and extensive wine list. Staff made our visit complete!

I visited this riverside restaurant for the first time last weekend and was not only impressed by the location - set within Durham county cricket club - but also Austins bistro itself. its new menus have an excellent range and even the fussiest eaters in my party were not disappointed!The staff on the evening were very attentive and made my birthday an extra special occasion. thank you very much and we will be back!
