Dined two weeks running & the food was the same good standard, portion size lacking for the set menu though. Service excellent the first week & terrible the next by different staff, wanted to see the view from the conservatory & raising the blinds it seems was asking too much, 'everything ok with your meal?' asked with head turned in the opposite direction to us! I could continue but don't have enough room..

We'll certainly be back as we value good food, well prepared & attractively presented.

Good food, well cooked with fine ingredients probably the best meal i've eaten for a while (and i'm fussy!). the service was great and i felt unrushed so i could eat at my own pace. could not ask for better, i will be going back.

Six months on from our last visit, i'm sorry to say- it's dropped. Ok, food was fine like always Service was awful table not laid out properly waitress didn't renew water when asked, kept walking off with our glasses without asking later, kitchen staff casually drinking bottled beer in didning area to top it all, a loud C+w disco, despite being asked to tone it down, they carried on I heard later , that the owners were stillon holiday..... we emailed them direct,a few days later- no reply by the way, this was 29th sept Pull your pants up, we're upset- this was until this, a gem of a place

Lunches are good, ambience great-get a window table and look across over into Wales! Dinners are brilliant, but tend to be quite noisy Food is brilliant, inventive and tasty Been twic alrady - love the place!

We have been going to the Marsh Cat for several years as it is one of our favourites. We like seafood and the menu has interesting and tasty fish dishes (as well as other options). the friendly service and location also add to the occasion.

Super deals at lunchtimes, even at weekends. I have been disappointed with the a la carte menu compared with the inclusive lunch menus. The desserts are often fabulous and the artwork on the walls is distinctive. Worth a visit.

The food has always been very good when we have been to the Marsh Cat. There is a good selection and the fixed price choices are particularly good value. The place is so popular that they pack a lot of tables into the space and unfortunately on our last visit two people coughing constantly on a nearby table meant that we chose to leave before dessert or coffee. It is still very nice and we would go again, but they need to think a bit about the ambience.

I love this place!! Gorgeous food, served by gorgeous staff in a gorgeous location. What more could you ask for?

Price wise if you go for the teatime special you can't lose, it is excellent value for money and the food is outstanding. Go any other times though and make sure you have just been paid as it can be quite expensive. i have spent close to a hundred quid for a meal for two, nothing fancy either. The drinks are VERY expensive with a glass of wine in the £5 region. Service is good and atmosphere is good as it is always busy, a bit small, but if it is really busy they open upstairs, cutting you off from the ambience a bit. A nice restaurant, but only go at teatime!
